I have been travelling to the Greek Islands with Manos since 1992 and I have never had a bad one with them!

Every time they have given value for the money, the best prices we have ever found!

Last year I went to Zante and the company were brilliant, even giving us a discount on this years trip because of an earthquake, something out of their controll!

We are about to return to Corfu for our third time with them in a couple of weeks time and I have NO WORRIES that we will be looked after.

They may be basic but it is down to 'what you make your holiday' that counts.

I would recommend them to anyone!

We arrived at Corfu airport at 4.15 and contrary to the earlier Manchester flights passengers who had been waiting 1 1/2 hrs for their case ours were off quicky and we were on the coach by 5pm .... and thats where it went downhill!!

We sat on the bus for an hour, no information about what was going on, eventually a rep got on at 6pm and we left, she didn't say a word no info what so ever. we got to Kassioppi the rep got off and the coach stopped turned aroundand went back the way it came!! Still no-one said anything, it then went back to a property we had already passed dropped some guests there, sat for 20 mins waiting for another rep to get on! We then set off back to Kassioppi, this time we went in , the rep got off with the guests we sat in Kassioppi for another half an hour. The Rep then sent the coach to Roda ( where we were staying) without her, when we eventually got to Roda a rep met us there!! It took from the time the plane landed 3 3/4 hours to get to the accomadation. to get to Corfu from the UK was quicker!!

We also had problems with the room (see Nikos Appartments) and noise and we were told to buy earplugs by the Rep!! Very helpful!

stayed 29/08/05 till 12/09/05

transfer from airport to roda takes over an hour ,thats after you have waitted for bus to fill up
so we got a cab at 50 euro 40mins and we were there
Our rep was good and very helpfull
corfu airport is a nitemare getting home with 2 small kids was a real mare from start to finish

Jayne B  (24 August 2005)

We had to wait over an hour on the bus at Corfu airport before we headed off to Sidari. It seems they waited for several flights from England to fill the bus up, the bus was then overfull and one couple had to stand all the way to Sidari.  There was no rep on the bus and it was very confusing where you were supposed to get off.  We didn't go to the welcome meeting and didn't see a rep all holiday.  Then on the return journey, the sheet told us to be waiting as 8.45am, but the bus didn't collect us until 9.45!! Although the rep on the bus did get us through the airport very quickly. the accomodation was very good, but as there was no rep, I'm not sure how we would have managed if we had a problem.

Tim S  (23 August 2005)

First time we have used Manos as we usually use Kosmar (much better in my opinon but they would have charged us an adult rate for our teenager) Flight was delayed both ways but somehow we expected that. When we arrived in Corfu we were expecting to be met by the normal gaggle of manos reps. Not so. We were pointed to the one girl who was very flusterd but efficent. I was extremley concerned about the transfer stories on here. We were lucky as we were the only people going to Sidari so we were put in a taxi. The in resort however was hopeless. Went to the welcome meeting and when we said we weren't sure we were gonna do her excusions we didn't see her again. Don't buy your trips from your rep. You can save 15 euros by booking a trip to aqualand in the resort!

We are travelling to Arillas in August and have read the comments about the transfers from the airport with Manos. As we are with Manos would we be better getting a taxi and does anyone know how much it would cost?

Charlotte A  (06 July 2005)

Just arrived back from 2 weeks in Arillas. The holiday was fantastic however the same can not be said for Manos. I have used the company on many occasions before and they have been fantastic but I shall probably not be doing so again. After a 3 and a half hour flight the last thing that you want is a long transfer, but this is what we got. Due to the fact that there was no rep on our coach transfer we had to keep waiting for one to turn up to tell the coach driver where to drop people off  ( this resulted in several lengthy stops in Sidari ) by the time we arrived in Arillas we had been on the coach for nearly 4 hours.  Our accomodation was fantastic as was the rest of our holiday, although no thanks to the reps who were either not to be found where they were timetabled to be, or seemed to have no interest in helping you in any way.

WELL I READ THIS SITE AND WAS VERY WORRIED BEFORE I WENT? HOWEVER, I STAYED IN AGIOS GORDIOS OUR REP WAS CALLED JOE.HE WAS GR8 HIS GIRLFRIEND IS ALSO A REP.HE WAS AROUND ALL THE TIME AND VERY HELPFUL. We have had many Manos holidays over the years and the last one was to Arillas, Corfu (1998) with no problems at all.  We are returning soon and have been quite concerned at the two most recent reports about the transfer situation - having been there twice before, we know it can be done in the stated one and a half hours so something has gone sadly wrong here.  Please can anyone else who has been to Arillas with Manos this year post their experiences as, at the moment, I think we may well be better off relying on a taxi transfer from the airport, which should take no longer than one hour at the most, as we don't fancy the idea of 3-4 hours on a coach in the hottest part of the afternoon.  Unfortunately, the reps will get the brunt of people's complaints about this but they can only work within the constraints that Manos put on them so you can't really blame them - just make sure that your feelings are made known to Manos on your return - they should never have got in bed with that Airtours (My Travel) gang, I say - they were fine when they were independent.  Do Manos still give out the questionnaires, by the way - haven't seen one from any recent tour operator we have used for several years now.

Charlotte A  (09 June 2005)

travelled to sidari with manos 3 years ago and found them to be ok. I am travelling to arillas with them this year and am a bit concerned about their level of service as i have read bad reports on this website, can anyone who has travelled with them this year give me any more feedback, also any feedback about tri-adelphia and makris appartments

thanx charlotte

Paul H  (08 June 2005)

This is the first time that we have travelled to Greece -Corfu and it quite possibly could have been the the last.We travelled with Manos WE WILL NOT TRAVEL WITH AGAIN to Corfu.

We had to wait on the coach for up to 25 mins when a Manos rep came on board only to tell us that he would not be travelling with us today and that the driver was well aware of where we needed to be dropped off and that there only a few stops , we arrived at our appartments in Arillas  just short of 3hrs later when we had realised that the driver did not know where Arillas was,he did stop in Sidari for 30 mins while he tried to enlist the help of another coach driver to take him to a drop off and he also successfully enlisted the help of another tour operator rep to do another few drop off's as well
If you are leaving on a flight around 1300-1400 expect to be picked up at 700 am on the morning. We did not find out our pick-up time untill the day before, so expect this please a lot of people were unhappy about this. You may arrive at the airport as early as 9-20.
At the end of the day you cannot blame the drivers or the reps ,you can only BLAME THE COMPANY, MANOS!! so all you can do is make your feelings felt to the rep and write to head office when you get back which is what I will be doing.

What we did was we hired a 12 seater coach and 7 people went to the airport on this coach it took just over an hour (traffic build up)picked up at 9-45 got there at 10-50. cost 75 euros
At the airport please expect pandemonium(reminiscent of a cattle market) no organisation no reps untill 2 hrs before your flight.
From what I have heard Thomas Cook have a better transfer time and pick-up time and there is more communication available.

We have travelled with Manos many times and they have been OK, but this time, it could have really spoiled a good holiday, we got on the coach at Corfu airport and sat for about 20 minutes waiting on a rep, when he did come he said we would be travelling without a rep but we only had 3 drop offs Roda Sidari & Arillas, we went to Roda then Sidari the coach driver pulled in next to a garage then sat there for about 15 mins when we asked him what was wrong he said he did not know the drop offs and was waiting on another coach coming so he could follow it round, so we sat for another 15 mins then the other coach came and we folled it all around Sidari after about 9 drop offs he sat again this time he said he was waiting on a rep to take him to Arillas, we got to Arillas nearly 4 hours after we got on the bus. I will not tell you about our trip to Aqua land but our time spent in the coach was nearly 5 hours, they charge you 35 euros p.p. if you hire a car and go there its only 19 euros to get in.

Our return fight was at 1.45 pm on Monday, on the Friday we asked them what our pick up times were, they said they would let us know on Sunday night at a meeting, at the meeting they told us we would be getting pick up at 7.00am, it’s the nearest I have ever seen to a riot, even people who were flying after us 2.30 3.00 pm we where all going at 7.00am.

Some of us hired a mini bus we left Arillas at 9.45am and where at the airport at 10.45am 3 hours before our flight some people had been there since 8.00am waiting on the same flight. I could go on and on, it would seem that Manos is the only one doing it this way.

The holiday was great as was Corfu we will go back, but not with Manos.

Dave

Yes that Matthew was useless at best - he should be sacked - never saw him really wasnt friendly at all and when we did need to get hold of him - surprise surprise could not get through.
The escapades rep looked after us on the coach and he was ace.
Manos is rubbish we will NEVER use them again!!

Becki V  (29 August 2004)

We travelled with Manos- NEVER AGAIN. Our tour rep was a complete D**k H***d, illiterate, the most obnoxious, arrogant little git I have every come across. He had no idea of public relations or customer care for the people in his care!!! Alkinos Appts were off the beaten track, but he made no effort to visit us, or resolve the problems we all incurred in the block of appts. Matthew - sent on guest at the Alkinos on a wild goose chase to find a hotel to leave her case on the night of departure, the lady in question was travelling alone, vulnerable, and had spent the last of her money, when the coach DID NOT arrive to collect her for the airport at THE BARN at 11.20pm, she remained there until 12.20am in tears, not knowing how she was to get to the airport. We called both numbers supplied by MATTHEW/MANOS - the emergency lines, with no reply to either number and being unable to contact any MANOS REPS!!! We made the decision between us all for her to get a taxi to the airport, but unfortunately we had to venture through all the hellish nightlife to get to the taxi rank. We were charged 60 Euros for the taxi, wot a rip off, and the following day we contacted MATTHEW, and he did not care, was not interested, and would not refund the money for our kindness for a woman on her own. We did Matthew's JOB for him, and for the remainder of our two weeks were snubbed, ignored and avoided by our so called MANOS REP!!! We have never travelled with Manos, but have travelled to most of the Greek Islands with Kosmar, WE WILL NOT BE USING MANOS, and will deter anyone from using them for a holiday. The morning of our departure, we were not greeted by a MANOS REP, but went with an 18-30's Rep, who delayed our travel by 15 mins waiting for late comers. Where was our Manos rep when one of us was taken ill at the airport, and had to have medical treatment, and delay the plane takeoff. We will be putting our complaints in writing to MANOS Direct as will 4 other couples who stayed at the Alkinos and received the same if not worse treatment and discourtesy from Matthew at MANOS.The Airtours Rep who we approached at the airport for help, was wonderful, very professional and thorough. We intend to look at Airtours for future holidays, never again with MANOS.

Simon B  (11 July 2004)

Suprised to see so many negative comments. we found our Manos rep Kirsty to be helpful and accomodating. The apartment at Katsaros, Sidari was fine with very friendly proprieters. Sidari itself was a disappointment, particularly the shameless Britishness of the bars and entertainment, but the rest of Corfu was easily accessed and well worth exploring - simply hire a car or catch a bus. For those feeling adventurous Albania is only a short boat trip and is a definite must see. I presume the negative comments reflect the inherant Brit tendancy to whinge. Ah well!

Mandy B  (15 June 2004)

Our Manos rep (Jim Hollinsworth) was really good despite having been moved to Kassiopi the night before our welcome meeting so therefore had limited knowledge of the resort. He did know a lot about the island as a whole and even made notes of good places to visit on our map. The transfer to the resport was a bit crap though, even though we were supposed to go straight to Kassiopi without drop offs at other resorts the driver decided we would drive through them all anyway!
Jim was always in the office when he said he would be, got flight times for home in good time, did everything he said he would basically and you can't ask for more than that.

Cheryl M  (07 May 2004)

I would never use Manos again after the last time i went with them. I absolutley luv Roda but last time i went unfortunately my holiday was cut short by a family bereavement. Manos did nothing to help me get an earlier flight, i had to enlist the help of a lovely local lady who worked in the car hire place. Im back in Roda in June this year but not with Manos!!

Rach   (23 September 2003)

RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicky H  (01 August 2003)

Not particularly impressed with Manos. Transfer from airport to Sidari took 5 hours. People lost baggage which is unaviodable but manos lady was really slow at taking them into accomodation. Our apartments were nice but a long way from the resort centre. When we arrived it was 9pm and we wanted to go out to eat so I asked the manos lady how to get back into town but she didn't know!!!! We didn't go to the welcome meeting because it was till midday the next day and we wanted to go and see the resort. It took so long to walk down ther ehtat if we'd gone to that first it would have been tea time before we got there. So, as a result we didn't see the rep until the day that we were leaving. I have been to Greece before but never with manos and I don't think I will use them again.

Tony T  (06 February 2003)

We stayed at the Aleka apts in Sidari and they were superb.
the owner could not have been more helpful and the Manos reps were always on hand.
The apartment was very clean and although we were only a short walk from the centre it was relatively quiet.

Kathryn D  (01 October 2002)

Not very impressed. Noone knew we were arriving even though the holiday had been booked 3 weeks before so the apartment was not clean. Very poor standard of accommodation even for Greece. Reps were pretty useless. Would not recommend.
