Would love the chance to try the Thomas studios!

Booked to go there with Argo and after changing the flight times twice they then cancelled the two studios I had booked this year on September 12th and have now put me in Maria Studios.
Saw Thomas when we went to Aktori Hotel really faced being right on the beach.

Thomas Studios @ Paleokastritsa Corfu, have been recently refurbished(bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom-shower), air-conditioning. For summer 2007 we are hoping to hire them privately and not through some travel agency. This will depend on how much you ask for it(book privately) else agency will book it for the summer. For information on prices etc email me at paleokastritsa@msn.com

The Thomas Studios, like Paleo itself , will not suit everyone BUT if you can cope with the steps,(and only the first 15 are steep) and lets face it just about everywhere in Paleo is steps or steep slopes, you will be rewarded with views across the bay off the balcony, and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep.

There is a private  garden with sunbeds - no parasols but there is a tree for shade, and then 6 steps down on to the beach which is shingle, but get some sea shoes and go paddling and watch the fish.
If you want a pool, you can use the one at the Marias studios only 5 mins walk away

The apartments have been re- furbished so the kitchen and bathroom are new, and we did have to ask for hot water in the mornings, but once the solar panels kicked in there was no problems.  Do take a bath towel with you as the towels are small and not replaced during a one week stay.

If you like some peace and quiet, ( there are only 4 studios in the block), enjoy views from your balcony,
and can do the steps, this could be the place for you .
Location wise its pretty perfect, as its more or less in the central area of Paleo so a large range of bars, tavernas and restaurants are within 10 mins walk

Remember to take a torch, a good book and a corkscrew - enjoy

Only three steps to heaven according to the group Mud, but 66 steps down to the Thomas Studios and a view as close to paradise best as we have ever had. The sea is just feet from your french doors and patio where you can sit in the moonlight and barely hear any noise from the road or Moody Blue bar above.

It looked like the kitchen and bathroom had recently been refitted as both were immaculate. Ok the kettle 'ON' button had to be held on but if you come back and that's the only complaint you have had a great holiday.
Cleaner came twice in the 7 days we stayed and did a thorough job.Take your own beach towels and snorkeling gear. The small bay in front of the studio was the best place I found but the sea temperature does vary across the many bays day to day and the warmer the water, the more fish.

Ideal for couples wanting a romantic break. About 20 minutes walk from the small harbour and only 1.80 Euro only to Corfu by regular, comfortable, Green Bus- actually a coach.
You can use the pool and bar at the Maria appartments 100 meters up the road and I recommend the 'Full English' if you want to fill up before coming home.
Visit the Grotto bar too, expensive but another great view.

Don't know what all moaning was about. Great location, very friendly. Clean and comfortable. Typical Greece. (But then this is Greece!)

If your going to Paleokastritsa DON'T stop here
Stopped here 02.05.05-09.05.05
The Good Things:
  • The views from the balconey very good
  • We found fantastic apartments only 100m away Maria Apartments

The Bad Things:

  • At Least 60 uneven steps down to apartments poorly lit at night
  • No HOT water for at least 2 days had to have a wash with the kettle I know greece is basic but thats taking the P--s
  • Towels size of tea towels 1 set per person per week (tight gets) You need to use every inch
  • The room was only cleaned once-- you may say thats not bad-- but remember what you do with your toilet paper in Greece!!
  • Doors and windows that don't close-- makes it dam cold at night

If You are going to this fantastic place in Corfu then stop at the Maria Apartments the rooms, bar, pool and the staff are superb If you don't beleave me read the comments about their place

If you don't you have been warned!!!!!!!!!!
