August 2006 Maggies is a great place to eat if you perfer to eat great english food served with a smile and a genuine host. Always busy however Bennys Bar next door was a splendid bar to have a drink while you waited for a table, allways worth waiting for. Breakfast at Maggies was  better than any  we have hade in England for value and service. We would highly recommend Maggies any time your in Corfu.

I love Maggies Place, the food there is lovely and the portions are quite large for what you are paying for.  It is a lovely place to laze around in the mid to late afternoon, with a nice pint of Mythos to cool you down.

In the evening, next door (which is now called Benny's) they have live acts most nights, Darren being my favourite singer.  This place is well worth a visit and not just on one occasion either!!!

can any one help me im looking for a phone number to cantact maggies bar or bernies place in roda. many thanks

Stacey S  (28 June 2006)

Amanda J  (24 January 2006)

I would just like to say that we went to Roda in August 2004. My daughter was only 11 months old at the time and was not really eating normal food, she was still on baby jars. We went to Maggies alot while we were there and by the end of our holiday my daughter was eating normal food and never touched a jar of baby food again. Maggie was great, nothing was too much trouble and she always make sure my daughter was given something to eat while we were waiting for our orders during the busy times. We are going back to Roda in May this year and I can't wait to try out Maggie's again. From what I have been reading, it sounds like they still have the magic touch which makes them so great.

See you soon
Amanda, Anthony & Jessica

We ate at Maggies most mornings for breakfast, a big plate full that sets you up for the day, although I understand what people are saying about greek food all the greek restaurants were offering english breakfast too (but not as good as Maggies!) and whos heard of a greek breakfast??

Maggies food is delicious the fish & chips were recommended and are excellent. The service was great the lady who served in the restaurant was always smiling & Maggie took time out to speak to you when she wasn't running about like a headless chicken!

The guy behind the bar was funny and kept us amused expecially when the thunder & lightning was raging outside!

Yes its english food, its very good english food but surely if you are on holiday its up to you what you eat!

Does that mean when you are in the UK you must only eat English food and not our national dish of Chicken Tikka Massala!!

Well Done Maggie we thought the food & service was great!

Rachel H  (16 August 2005)

Eat here quite a few times with my friends Sid and Stacy who recomended it, great food, great staff, definitly recomend coming here. You get big portions for average prices definitly worth your money. Always busy so seperate bar area where you can wait, your never made to wait more then 10 minutes one of the best restaurants in roda will be eating there next year.

Emma W  (02 August 2005)

I would just like to say i went in Maggies Bar nearly every night when i was on holiday in June 2005  I thought Maggie was the most loveliest woman i have met.  I really enjoyed meeting Steve and Emma who worked behind the bar and since being back have missed them like mad!!!!

I am definatly going back next year and i cant wait to see them all again

Geoff M  (15 July 2005)

We have been coming here for last few years and the food is excellent to say the least. We have friends in corfu, jim and dee, who eat here regular and never have a word of complaint. Maggie is very friendly and is also a very busy lady. Working out here is hard enough in the heat butbshe still manages to give time to her customers. If you like huge portions then this is the place to come. They do a fish dish that looks like a shark on your plate.  try it and you wont need to eat for a week!!!!!

back in august . ( maybe not for fish)

HEY MAGGIE.................

Hello to Maggie and all the girls.......... now, you might not quite remember me Maggie, but me and my partner and his kids visited you back in 2003 and before we left you bought his two kids and my two nephews a chain each as a thankyou present for coming to yours every night!

Seriously - to anyone who is going to Roda - VISIT MAGGIES PLACE! The food is amazing, as are the staff, and as is the builing! Oh, and i cant forget about the toilets (sounds silly but believe me, you will know what i mean when you see them) - free sun creams, perfumes, deodrants etc, and all decorated like a little dressing room!

I hope all is going well with the business Maggie, i bet they are still queueing to get in through the doors at 7.00pm every night arent they?

Big thumbs up for this place

Bill M  (02 June 2005)
