Olga Apartments

Just arrived home from a fantastic week at Olga ll. Ria is an angel, she is so helpful. Apartments very clean & roomy, we will be going back at some point.

Hi just arrived home from a wonderful holiday. Apartments were great in Olga 2, and everyone was most helpful, especially Ria, who was always very cheerful and accomodating. First time at Olga, but will definately go back. Best places to eat Churchills ( turn left and just a little way down the road) The Village (just before Churchills) and The Sweet Apple ( diectly on the right at bottom of lane) Fanastic time, and only 1 mosi bite.

hi we stoped as olga 1&11 in october 2003 and thaught it was really gr8 the staff were really kind polite and helpful especially ria! the beach is just 2 minuets down the road and the town just 5 minuets down the road the rooms were clean and spacious bedding and towels were changed twice a week and the maids were also friendly would recomend !!!

My sister Julie and myself visited the Olgas property when we visited Sidari in 1998 and was invited to a greek night. It was BRILLIANT. We loved Sidari and found the Kahlua Holiday complex with straw made umbrellas and free sunbeds and the waiters were lovely and would bring you anything you wanted to eat or drink. We stayed at the Asteria Apartments opposite the Olgas and every day we would go into Sidari town. During the fortnight we visited Kassiopi and Corfu Town and went on the brilliant Corfu Highlights Tour where we visited Mouse Island (Ponticonissi, Achillion Palace, Paleocastritsa. After lunch we visited the Monastry on the top of the large rock and went up into the mountains of Belavista the most photographed spot on the island. The panoramic view over the whole of Paleocastritsa was breathtaking. I have a wonderful video and the advice for anyone who visits Corfu is to go on this wonderful excursion. You'll love it.

I am so jealous of you. Wish it was me going to Olgas in October. You will honestly love it. Our best holiday ever!!! The beach is 2 minutes away from the apartments. Some lovely little coves to be explored. You could also swim in the Canan D' Amour which is so romantic!

As for the restaurants/bars. To be honest, we didn't have one bad meal. I will name a few of our favourites though. Restaurants first. Sweet Apple is just at the bottom of the road from Olgas. It is the first restaurant you pass as you turn right to most of the bars and restaurants (on the quiet side). The food there is really good. Nicholas Restaurant is fantastic. Food is brill. The three brothers was good too. You have got to go to Shooters for your breakfast. The best in Sidari. Black pudding, square sausage, potato scone etc etc. Superb value. Dom and Barbara are a scottish couple who run it and they are lovely.

If you turn left at the bottom of the road from Olgas, you are heading into the busier stretch of Sidari and there are various excellent restaurants there. The three little pigs, Zorbas, The mexican restaurant are all excellent. Zorbas and the Three Little Pigs have greek dancing and plate smashing around 9pm which is a joy to watch.

I could go on and on. I really hope you have a brilliant holiday and remember and put your comment on here when you come back to let me know how you liked it. HAVE A BALL!!!!

Im going to the olga apartments in october can anybody recommend any good restaurants or bars near by and what is the local beach like and how far is it?

Ria, the receptionist, was a delightfully friendly person, who never forgot which room we were in, even from day 1. She must have a very good memory!!! (The other receptionist was OK as well, but we had quite a few chats with Ria, so that is why I mentioned her)
My only real complaint is that the beds had the hardest, most uncomfortable mattresses, I have ever slept on. I bought a lilo, and slept on that as an extra matttress!
I agree about the mozzies, I never usually get bit, but I came home with quite a few bites!!!
The area was quite quiet, and the beaches good. Resteraunts close to the hotel, worth a mention, are; "Churchills",Turn left out of Olga's, and a few yards down the road.(Big helpings, VERY friendly staff, and REAL chips) Also reccomend "Sweet apple", the first resteraunt on the right, as you come down to the main road. They do an excellent breakfast there, which is really good value for money.

Mozzies are a big problem this year,wear plenty of protection,been going to Olgas 1 & 2 for 10 years now the the standard gets better year on year,the family are excellent and make you very welcome,make sure you go to the Greek nights on a thursday they are excellent,if your taking kids with you then again no need to worry,they are well catered for and welcome everywhere,chill and relax you will want to return year on year.

WE are staying at the Olga 1 Apartments for two weeks from 3rd September. Will enquire about booking for next year. By all the comments it seems that we are in for a good holiday. Friends out there at the moment are having BIG problems with mossies---is this the norm.

I have been to the olga's on two previous ocassions and am trying to book again for next year. I cannot find them in the thomson brochure. If anyone is going or has just come back and can let me know what Mike and the family are doing. I did have an e mail address but we have lost it!! What can I say about Olga apartments? We came home last night and we are sooooo sad. We had our best holiday ever at these apartments. Ria is the receptionist there and she is honestly the nicest person we will ever meet. She really made our holiday special, (although she sacked our 9 year old daughter before she had even started work in reception)! ha ha. The boys in the bar are superb. Theo is a cheeky boy who loves the ladies. He is a good laugh. Mike & his wife and little baby boy are lovely. Mike made us laugh from day one. Spiros is Mike's brother and he is lovely although he never takes off his shades. Thinks he looks cool. (He does). His wife and little girl are gorgeous. Mike & Spiros' mum and dad Olga and Costa are lovely people. Made us feel really welcome. We would highly recommend you go to their Greek night on a Thursday. It was the best night of our holiday. (Although wear your oldest clothes because you all end up in the pool at 3 a.m.). We met a load of lovely people there who we will definitely be keeping in touch with and they really made our whole holiday memorable. The apartments are fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything better. A big thank you to the maids who did a fantastic job. Overall we loved every minute of our holiday at Olgas and will be booking up for the same two weeks next year. Highly recommend to everyone.

Hiya just returned from another god holiday in Corfu, Sidari. We have been to this resort before and loved it. This time we stayed at the Olga and had a wicked time. We were out there when greece won euro 2004 and the atmosphere was amazing, got invited into sidari by the locals, it was mad! Infact i had such a good time out there and i think the place is that nice im planning on going again b4 i start university and then find summer job for the nxt couple yrs until i finish my degree and can hopefully move out there (fingers crossed). The staff at olga are great, Ria is so cheerful always smiling. Chrisa is also lovely, and her daughter Olia gorgeous.Mike and Spiros are a good laugh.They are so friendly and add to the atmosphere. Theo who wks behind the bar is a good guy as well, thats when he isnt throwing me in the pool!!overall a really amazing holiday hope to bk there in a few weeks or so.

Hi Sharon, not to Sidari, have been to Dassia quite a few years ago in a single lads holiday.

We are flying from Liverpool 1.15 ish in the afternoon of Friday 30th July. Should be booking in about 6 hours later (4 hr flying and 2 to get there from airport. Booked through Lunn Poly and got quite a good deal.

Will have to seek each other out on the Saturday round the pool.

I've got short brown hair aged 45, g/f blonde same age, 2 lads 17 and 14, both quite tall, 6' +.. If you have kids, my boys are Ben 17, and Josh 14 last Saturday. Hope it's a nice place.

Hello sharon, i have bin 2 sidari 3 times so far and i can say olga r the best appartments out there. The cleaners are very friendly and reliable, the bar staff are very welcomeing and cook good food with a fab room sevice, also the receptionists are very helpful and ria is lovely. Not 2 forget mike the owner who is a gr8 person and a good laugh. No dought about it you'll love this place! we stay from the 23rd july for 2 weeks and i can't wait 2 be back there. Genna x x x

HI, My family are going to be staying at Olga 11 apartments in Sidari the first fortnight in August. Can anyone please give any info as to what kind of holiday we can expect. Would'nt be surprised if there's not but if there is would be great to know whereabouts?? The food at the Pool bar is better than most of the Taverna's around. Theo is a top fella. Ria is excellent (Fab says the wife). The location is just outside Sidari so is peaceful but if you like the lively scene, Sidari is only 10-15mins away on foot. Try the 3 little pigs Taverna on the way into Sidari - Very traditional but lively Greek taverna. The apartments were huge, modern and spotless with good self catering facilities. They were cleaned every day. Mike & Spiros (managers) top blokes. Mike is a great guy - very friendly and just had a baby boy. Spiros likes to think he is Tom Cruise in Top Gun (you will soon see what I mean). You will not be disappointed.

What can i say here we are, back at home again counting down the days till jully!! We miss you all already, may hasn't been to busy but jully is goin to be brilliant. Olga are the best appartments ever. Mike the owner was very welcoming and Ria was absaloutly lovely she really took good care of us, George r rep was such a fantastic person and so full of life, he was very entertaining the best rep u'd find in sidari. They really made our stay there worth while it was a wkd holiday. "Hello Baby"..... and how cud i forget you Theo. I enjoyed the ride's home in ur car!!, i miss u loads. me and my best friend genna come to sidari twice every year.last year we stayed in olga and i must say it is the best apartment we have ever stayed in.everyone is so friendly espeasialy the bar man theo.we went out every night to the night clubs and theo always brought us home in his fab car.we are due to go back in may and july as it was so nice,and we cant wait.we have made many friends in the last three years and we continue to do so.we want to say a big yasoo to everyone at olga,and a kiss for theo.c u soon.xxxx gem and gen xxx

THE APPARTMENTS WERE GREAT AND SO WAS RIA AND THE REST OF THE STAFF. OUR HOLIDAY REP GEORGE WAS A GOOD LAUGH. THE MEN WERE GREAT AT THE APPARTMENT AND IN BAR STREET. THE MINT CLUB WAS FAB AND CEASERS FOAM PARTY WAS ALSO GOOD. THE POOL BAR IS GREAT IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT CROWD. THEO THE BAR MAN AT THE POOL BAR KNOWS THAT HE IS GORGEOUS SO HE PLAYS ON THAT.THEOS FAVOURITE SAYING IS "HELLO BABY". ONE OF THE ROOMS THAT WE HAD WAS 308 AND SO MANY GREAT THINGS HAPPENED IN THAT ROOM. WE HAD SOME OF THE BEST TIMES IN 308.

stayed here in may this year. apartments were great. ria was fantastic and looked after us really well. she had some great advice to offer about men and was always checking to make sure we were all there in the morning or that our beds had at least been slept in. (or messed up!!) say fella mia pippa!!!! to the barman theo he will know what you mean!!! he is absolutely gorgeous!!! but not sure whether g*y or not will ask for sure when we go back in september cause its on our minds!!!!!! also someone buy him another set of jeans and a new shirt(as wore the same thing every night) ask him for a special sex on the beach and see what you get. to top this excellent little place off all the workers live in the apartments next door. but dont try to climb over the balconies it can be dangerous and a lot higher than it seems when you are drunk. say hello to the little greek girl oliya and give her a game of pool. we will be back, great place luv us!!!!!! xxxx the three scottish girls who entertained the children by day and the men by night.

Started going to Olga's about 9 years ago and we ( the family )have been going back to the same place twice a year.Mike/Spiro and Olga make you feel very welcome.Its a total run family business with Grandma cooking the snacks from the menu.They also have an excellent greek night every week,where the wine flows and lots of greek dancing.The accomodation is excellent with a new and older block,the location is very quiet,and its not that far to walk into the centre of Sidari for some late night action.Try also the Face Bar again excellent service and Panos will make you will very welcome,but above all try and get around the north of the Island and experince the sites & sounds of corfu,dont be content with just staying in the resort.Try the local bus service instead of the usual tour guides,you will find it alot cheaper and you not on anyones timetable.Above all you feel very relaxed in sidari,you will not come across your usual lager lout,in the 9yrs i have been there i have seen very little police or trouble in sidari,the kids feel safe and above all kids are welcome in all the resturants in sidari and made to feel welcome at all times.So enough from me,go and enjoy yourselfs !!!!

This Hotel and resort was the best I have ever been too. I think that the owner Mikey baby was so friendly. He made our holiday absolutely brilliant. He made us feel safe and settled. I will deffinaetly be going back to the olga hotel.This place is absolutly unique. It is set back from the noise, so you will be able to relax, but you ain't that far from the lively part. Which is about 10 minutes walk. I really do suggest that you trry this place. Its fantastic.
