Reply to Pat Fairman May 8th 2004. We visited Blue Bay June/July has year we found it to be wonderful, clean, large accommodation. We are infact returning this year in August. The food was good, entertainment could be improved (first year last year) excellent choice of food.

Stuart

We love Kassiopi and have just got home from another 2 week visit.

Our favourite Taverna is the "Istoni" (opposite the Travel Corner). There are many others but, in our view, this is the best.

Kirsty T

I loved staying in kassiopi. I recommend that of a night go to jasmine as the barmen are so friendly and you are garanteed to have fun!!!!

Shirley B

Steve and Janet Hughes. We went to Kassiopi last year for the first time with our 9 and 15 year olds. As soon as we came back we booked again for this year! We'll be there from 12th July - you'll love it. The people are very friendly and, as all the other inserpts on this page say, it's a resort for everyone.

Helen K

there are not any places that will rip you off in kassiopi the whole place is for the very young to the not so young

Emma i think we found the best bars got photos there are some great ones

Steve H

Hi I am Rebecca Jonathan is my big brother, We go to Kassiopi in July and we are really looking forward to it,Can anyone tell me if it is a nice place for famillies??

Ronald T

having been to michelangelo for six years speaks for its self however there are two michelangelo just opposite each .the staff are very friendly and is good for kids the harbour is ten minutes down the road but 20 minutes back up .one is thompsonholidays and the other is olympic the thomson one is the best as far as the apartments go though both are basic .a taverna just beside does great food and mickeys bar is good just a short walk up the main road.peace if u want but lively if u want that as well down roudn the harbour .not really a beach as such .hope you have a great time .give my regards to all the staff at the bar also in the taverna (macda) ronnie

Emma H

im off to kassiopi on the 14th of may for 2 weeks im going with my best mate, we are both 23 and were woundering if anyone could recommend and places to go
we are up for a great time so if there is anyone else going at this time fancy meeting up and having our own bar crawl??

Pat F

Has anyone stayed at the Blue Bay Escape Resort and if so what is it like

Lucy M

Stacey- what a load of crap that's all I can say!

I'm young and like a good night out, but Kassiopi is well balanced- it's not overly loud for families, but for those who want to club til late hours (as Helen said, 6am) then there clubs such as Passion.

It's a lovely resort, with lots of character and the people are very friendly (but not 'overly friendly' as Stacey said!).

The coves around Kassiopi are very pretty and lovely for swimming in. They are shingle, but Kalamaki beach, aka Sandy beach is only 5/10 mins by boat.

Steve H

We go to the Olive Grove complex in Kassiopi in July, can anyone recomend to me some good resteraunts please. We have 2 young children 7 & 10 they are really looking forward to the holiday & so are we,only hope the people are as friendly as they are in Zante.Steve & Janet Hughes N.Wales

Claire O

hey, i havent actually stayed in the olive grove apartments but ive gone passed them. theyre on the main road and about a minutes walk away is a really nice restaurant called Mickey`s(hes from newcastle). the apartments themselves are about a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of the village but on a nice night it makes for a good walk. kassiopi has something for everyone and virtually every restaurant welcomes kids.

Helen K

Not been to the olive grove apartments but have heard some good reports about them

Kassiopi is for everyone whether you are a child, 40 or 70. kassiopi has a charm that keeps people coming back for more, you can have peaceful nights or more of a party night. Either way everyone is welcome even kids i am sure you will have a great time

Paula A

hi can any one tell me if they have been to the olive grove apartments in Kassiopi and what they are like. we are going in june and wondering what the weather is like. is it a resort for the family or for young couples.thank you

Helen K

The hurcules is not that bad for lighting but if you are stopping at the annex i would say to take one

Helen K

Heather these apartments are just outside the main village but they have there own little village with shops and bars/restaurants
They are about a 10 minute walk from the main village but you can get taxis

Heather C

Has anyone been to the Michelangelo apartments in Kassiopi. They are in the Portland brochure. I don't know if they are new, but I can't seem to find any information on them on this website.

Alison G

Looking forward to going to kassiopi with the family. We,re staying at the Eli apartments. Anyone been there as i,de like to know what its like. The Eli are part of the Solaris group(if thats of any help)

Helen K

i stopped in a studio and there was plenty of space the kitchen was an ok size plenty of room to do what you want

as for cleaning the beds were made and floors cleaned everyday
Towels and sheets were changed i think twice a week

Michael C

Helen K.thanks for info on appts.Know it was a while ago but was kitchen ok.were towels and sheets changed ok.thanks

Helen K

Stacy as far as i am concerned i have never seen a bar close at 12:30 well the most popular ones its normally about 2-3 in the morning i was there in Feb and the pubs that were open didnt even lose that early then
Eclipse is not a club thats why it was not open til late there are however two night clubs Passions which is open til about 6 in the morning and also Visions has a club out the back
There are older people that go there but also there is alot of younger people there and i have never once been told to be quiet my opinion is if you are any age you will enjoy yourself

And there are not albanians swiming over you really hae been listening to many stories this is what used to happen but a long time ago
As for the beach at night this is true but its not just the greek lads its english too and its not like they force the girls most are more than willing

As for the beach i do agree with you there they are not that great but the sea is fine to swim in
if you want a sandy beach you can either get the bus for a 10 minute drive or get the boat from the harbour which takeabout 20 minutes but it is worth it

Stacey G

hey girls look out for a very very nice looking lad called dimitris, his dad owns nikos apartments,, i think thats wat its called...anyway very stunning i tell you! watch he doesnt take you to the beach at night, although hes a gentleman! normally found in nikos bar or the kebab shop near the harbour!

Stacey G

hey went kassipo, it was ok...some fit local boys but thats about it.,....if ur 16 + and looking for a good time, this is not the place...its full of familys and older people so u have to be quiet...shh! the best place is this kareoke bar , and the people who work there are friendly and a laff, its ok...but after two weeks can be boring...everywhere shuts at 12.30 and everyone goes home, they is one club called eclsipe...but it was never open and if it was i cant really imagine there wud be allot of people there...as its only a small place....the beach is rocky but ok, but u have to pay for sun beds...plus its not very big at all. very pretty but hurts ur feet...and sea isnt very ideal for swimming so avoid it...also its near albania and u get dodgy people coming over...swiming over...so watch that aswell! DONT GO ON THE BEACH at night, all ther local boys are they with some poor english girl they have managed to lure...trust me i know...anyway, want more information you cna email me staceygreen15@hotmail.com

Helen K

michael these apartments are standard just like most other apartments they are comfortable but thy may have changed i stopped in them 4 years ago

Michael C

Rosanna C

I thought that the beaches in Kassiopi were lovely. They're stoney, but the water is so clear and blue and you can avoid the hassle of sand over everything. Very pretty place.

Val R

Alan Johnson - Taxi from the airport to Kassiopi should cost you about 50 euros (we were a group needing two taxis and were charged an allegedly slightly cheaper rate of 80 euros for the two).

Hope this helps.

Emily T

hi to all at michelangelo.se u all again next year.have had 5 great years there hello to.billy- emelio- angelo-jenny-michel-nellie.thanasis at the .taverna beside michelangelo also all the family.

Moira S

Kassiopi is beautiful and has something for everyone. You are spoilt for choice with the different restaurants. The harbour is wonderful and the locals mingle with the holiday makers and are very friendly. There is a variety of shops and travel offices who offer everything from excursions (much better value than the tour operators), car hire and accomodation. It was our first time in Kassiopi, we loved it and are planning to go back next year. I think the person who said it was boring and was glad they were only their 4 hours must have been on another plant.

Norma K

Had a week in Kaasiopi and had a brilliant time. The Angeliki apts were basic but comfortable and clean. However I was concerned about the electricity, as when I tried to charge my phone the plug smelt of burning and I couldnt put the kettle on without first turning on the lights! The pool was lovely and had a poolside bar for drinks and snacks which were good quality and v cheap.I would recomend 'pool visiting' as other pools nearby are equally as good with even more attractions such as films and entertainment. There are charges for sunbeds in Kassiopi. In the apts 1.5 euro (sunbed and umbrella), the beach 3 euro for sunbed and 4 for umbrellas.
Nighlife is good and can vary from a quite meal on the Harbour to a 'full on' clubbing experience and all points in between, that is not to say Kassiopi is noisy because it isnt, even though our apt was very close to the main street.
Excursions are plentiful and I recomend you shop around the providers (all in the same street so not much of a chore) the prices vary sometimes by 10 euro. Same for safety deposit boxes, some are free others charge around 3 euro a week. Aqualand and the boat trip to Corfu Town were favourites for me.
I am sure you will have an excellent holiday in Kassiopi the downside is the mosquitoes take repellent those things bite!!!!!!!

Alan J

Does anyone know how much it costs for a taxi from the airport up to Kassiopi. Thanks a million.

Sophie G

omg.....what a wikkid hol, the best for ages (we go to a different greek island every year, loved all of them). ok, i went on a family holiday, my dad, bro and my mate shenika! we were only there 4 a wk, so wish it was longer. we stayed in to different apartments but both were close enough to a pool, the sun and passion club (thats all that matters) that place rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! ok, george(the bartender) and shenika had a bit of a fling, that was funny!!! i jus met some lovely italian guy....sophies in love. what about matt in jasmines bar, hes fit, oh and barney in the harbour bar. if n e 1 nos these guys or wants to have a genral chat about the bars n clubs etc my msn is sophievgrant@hotmail.com and my facepic.com/xsofiex hopefully we r goin bk next year, maybe even to work in the summer. x

Stuart G

Hi,has anyone recently been to the Nikiforos apartments, if so how is the accommodation (comfort/cleanliness etc), and does it have sea/harbour views, does the pool view have best amount of sun? It's been a while since last in Kassiopi (11 years) and really looking forward to returning. This time would like to take advantage of the stunning harbour or sea views. Thanks

Aimee S

heya! i just got back on 28th july-and im going back again on august 25th to september 9th! staying at hercules unfortunately...but its better than not going! if anyone will be there at the same time as me let me know! http://www.faceparty.com/femme_fatale little_miss_aimee@hotmail.com
see ya soon!! aimee xxx

Aimee S

i got back from kassiopi on 28th july, and i loved it. i went there last year aswell, but it seemed to be much better this year! its great for any age group-my younger brother loved it, and so did my nan! if you're going-try Nikos restaurant on the harbour-it is the most gorgeous restaurant in kassiopi! that and bolero gardens, just up from the square-definitely go there-and try the swordfish kebab-and the english roast on sundays-yummy! we went to janis last year, and thought it was very over rated, but you might as well try it. its quite pricey, the foods not the best, and the view certainly isnt that stunning (unless you get there for sunset-between 8:30 and 9pm! but you could just sit on the beach and watch that!). one positive for janis is 'jimmy', he is so sweet, and also works at illusion cocktail bar, along with panos-who is a superstar! so sweet! and DJ Ross is a great guy too-we saw him quite a lot while we were there! he is flatmates with kate-a waitress at illusion, and she is great too! love her to bits! passion is good fun-ladies night was different-all the bar satff dressed up as women! the toga party was interesting too! the lads definitely aren't shy! but the best night there was the foam party! we only went once-it cost 5euros to get in, and you get one drink free, and sometimes its 15euros to get in, but then all your drinks are free! we stayed at the foam party until 6am, and had an incredible time! it was one of the highlights! definitely do kareoke at illusin, check out the greek dancing at kostas bar, and at solaris once a week-its good for a laugh! and go to bella vista pool-try the full english fry up! rob is a god! and his son ben is a sweetie too! i love kassiopi-and am going there next year from may to october to work-so come and say hi! http://www.faceparty.com/femme_fatale visit my site! aimee xx

Shirley B

Norma, we're just back from Kassiopi. We've got 2 daughters aged 15 and 9. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants. You choose how loud or quiet you want! As far as safety is concerned we had absolutely no problems at all. My 15 year old went out with a few other kids she met at the apartments and she felt perfectly safe. Although there is no harm in being wary as you know. The people are extremely helful and very child friendly. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourselves.

Norma K

We (husband, 15 year old daughter and myself ) are going to Kassiopi 18th August. Has anyone got information on the Angelika Apts? Also is there enough nightlife to keep us all happy. I realise nowhere is safe these days but how is it in Kassiopi, is there a high crime rate?
Thanks
Norma

Nicky H

We went on an evening trip to Kassiopi and found it very boring. Didn't know what to do with the 4 hours we had there. Looked around few shops that there were and had a lovley meal at Kassiopi Star but that was it. Not much going on there at all. Was thankful we only had to spend one evening there and not our whole holiday.

Shirley B

We're just back from our first Greek holiday in Kassiopi and we've spoken to Costas at the Travel Corner in Kassiopi and he's holding an apartment for next year for us! Have absolutely nothing bad to say about the place. The weather, food, bars, people, excursions, shops everything - all great. The Greeks are the nicest people we've met. Enjoy........................

Chloe M

Came back from Kassiopi on the 11th of july loved the place and can't wait to go back next year with my boyfriend.
Stayed at the solaris apartments and they were fantastic, one of the best holidays ive ever had.
Look out for a guy called Nick Fisk hes usually around the solaris pool bar, he took sum fantastic holiday photos of me.
Also watch out for Yannis the bar man at the solaris.

Malcolm W

Kassiopi is a fabulous holiday resort, we recommend you book your holiday directly with The Travel Corner in Kassiopi, contact Kostas or Stefanos they are wonderful people, they can organise your flight, taxi from airport, hire cars and a great choice of accomodation. We keep going back there, now up to seven visits. Roz and Malcolm Williams.

Alyson H

hi, just returned from kassiopi stayed in the michaelangelo appartments, spent many a happy night in illusions and passions, managed to break my finger but tequila numbed the pain as well as all gorgeous guys.
Have no complaints about any aspect of the holiday accomodation nightlife and the people were all fabulous.

Hey Gemma, We're going to Kassipoi for the 1st time on 14th July staying at the Katia Beach Apts. I believe they're not far from u. I think we may be a bit older than you (family of 4, 2 kids 15 & 9) but if you want to meet - no problem! If not, have a great holiday.

Gemma D

Hi! im going to Kassiopi on the 18th, and staying at the Michael Anglo apts... i dnt really know what 2 expect! i want a nice relaxing holiday during the day and somewhere lively to go out, socialise and party at night. Neva been to Corfu before and im looking forward to it, but can any1 tell me what the nightlife is like?? really curious.
p.s. is any1 going at the same time?

Liz D

Going to Kassiopi again in September for a week. Usually stay at Michelangelo, but this time staying at the Amalia Apartments. Can anyone give me an idea where they are situated in the resort and if they are nice etc.

Melissa M

Just came back from Kassiopi, it was excellent. Lovely night life, lively but not the same kind of liveliness as Ibiza, if u know what i mean. We stayed in the Ariti appartments, at first i found it a bit small but i got used to it and because we were hardly there it was even nicer. Every day we'd walk down to the kassiopi square and have breakfast and dinner at solaris then we'd go home and get ready for the night and go back to either watch the greek dancing, watch the newest films or play the quiz, which was excellent because you won prizes. We met two families who we became very close too. I also met Yiannis who was georgous, he took me out for a drink twice. ::smile:: . yes i thought i had fallen in love with him at first but you know what greek men are like, after different women all the time, i was 15 and he was 19, he took me to a beach and we kissed under the moon (still smiling). We became good friends with the staff in solaris and are going back next year for my mums wedding. Costas (the manager) has done two wedding parties already and he opens the bar just for them. Well i advise anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday to visit kassiopi, it's the nicest holiday i have been to since. :)

Sue L

We stayed at the Michaelangelo Village which is a 10 minute walk from the centre. Kassiopi is a lovely village which still has got Greek Charm.

Shirley B

Anyone going to the Katia Beach apartments before us (14th July) please let me know how far they are from the town centre, and is it walkable. Also just how quiet is it? Please tell me there is life nearby! We have a 15 and 9 year old with us.

Jan B

We HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR THIRD VISIT TO KASSIOPI,THIS TIME TAKING OUR TWO GRANDCHILDREN 9 AND 7 THEY LOVED IT AS MUCH AS WE DID AND WANT TO RETURN NEXT YEAR. WE STAYED AT ARITI APARTMENTS WHICH WERE EXCELLENT.THE LOCALS ARE SO FRIENDLY AND THE CHILDREN WERE MADE TO FEEL WELCOME WHEREEVER WE WENT.RECOMMEND JANNIS RESTAURANT FOF SUPERB FOOD AND SERVICE,KOSTAS BAR FOR GREEK DANCING AND BENJYS BAR FOR A PEACEFUL DRINK.WE CANT WAIT TO GO BACK AGAIN

Shirley B

Richard Shakespeare - please let us know how your holiday goes. We've just booked for the Katia Beach in July. Us and the kids (9 & 15). Any info would be great?!

Sherri C

I loved it 12 years ago as a singly (went for the whole summer!) and loved it again as a married mother of two!!! Gutted my friends are off to Kassiopi again this Fri, and I will be at home...

Nerys W

It was our first time in Kassiopi (May 9th - 17th) - definately not the last though!! This place is full of tradition and charm. Stayed at the Olive Grove Apts (15 mins walk from the village - ideal location). The resort is not too big and not too small, which is ideal and there is something to suit everyone. Many bars and tavernas to choose from, but I'd recommend the Istoni Taverna and the Strofilia Taverna for a fantastic meal and a traditional Greek welcome!

Lee B

Hey,

Just back from the Katia Beach apartments in Kassiopi and have to say my girlfriend and I had a fantastic time, if its peace and quiet your after this is the perfect place, Alex and Alexi were brilliant in every way, very helpful and friendly. The apartments were very clean and spacious, the pool was fantastic.....if anyones thinking of going I highly recommend it.

Cheers.

Riichard S

Hiya, I am going to Kassiopi in June this year for 2weeks, has anyone stayed in the Katia Beach app? What they like? Do they have lifts etc?

Sandra F

Looking for aholiday in centre of the village for july or august for 2 adults.

Claire O

hey gary regarding ure `can u help` most restaurants in kassiopi are child friendly so u dnt have to worry. There is a cash point just off the square and there are also a few exchange places so they might be able to help you more( the one along the main road heading towards the beach is owned by a british couple so u wont have to worry about communication) kassiopi`s great hope u enjoy it!!

Gary H

Can anyone tell me about the Andreas appartments in kassiopi also child friendly places to eat.

Also anyone know if their are cash machines in the resort and finally as well as the watersports is their a local riding school.

Any info on would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Gary

Claire B

just want info regarding how authentic kassiopi is. I hate people that go on holidays and rate the good british bars and british food. Has Kassiopi got the Greek charm and choice of authentic Greek cooking or are there lots of British influence in which case I aint goin. Hope everyone has fab hols anyway.

Paul S

I am going to the Ben Apartments in Kassiopi at the end of June. Does anybody know what these are like?

Graham H

Has anyone been to the Lena Apartments in Kassiopi? I have just booked for a week in August but have no Info on them.

Louise O

just want to say that Kassiopi is a great place to go, we`ve been there 5 times already and are goin back in june
The local lads are pretty nice too....... when you get to know them.I can definitely recommend Dons Bar they`re really really friendly.
Anyone going should get a kebab from the little place on the corner opposite the illusions bar!!!! cant wait to go back

Sandra Y

We stumbled across Kassiopi in 2000 when we were driving around the island. We completely fell in love with the place - bought a great ornament from the lovely ceramic shop in the centre and vowed to go back the following year. We did go back and are going back again this year. Didn't go last year as we thought we'd try Zante - never again - Kassiopi is our island and we have made some fantastic memories there. Can't disagree with any of the previous comments - fantastic place, fantastic people (Rachel and Spiros at Eclipse and DJ Ross at the great barmen at Illusions our particular favourites) and the food is fab. Looking forward to many more years visiting our favourite place. SEE YOU SOON KASSIOPI

My wife is SPANISH and we could stay in spain with out paying a penny.
But i love KASSIOPI so much that we go there every year. Have been since 1989.nightlife great. food excellent.beachs good. But its the people that take us back year after year.any body going this year will
have agreat time.

I've been going to kassiopi on and off for 19 years, I have tried a few other places but nowhere else comes close. It can be whatever you want, lively or quiet. There's so many bars and restaurants to choose from I don't think anybody would be dissapointed. My favourite restaurants are Jannis, Little Italy, the 3 brothers and the kassiopi star, for bars...it has to be Kostas. Guaranteed good night. Take a trip to Kalamaki (sandy beach) it's great for kids, really shallow, and only 10 mins and £3 away by boat. I'm back on July 28th..can't wait.

I went to Kassiopi last year and loved it-and yeah I was stalked by an albanian guy called Alex, he was friendly enough, but a bit creepy! I also got to know yiannis from solaris (winkwink!). We stayed at Virginia apts which were nice, but not the best. Im going out again this year on July 14th-28th staying at Lena apts, not sure what theyre like...? I thought 3Brothers was nice, but i didnt like janis, I did love the restaurant on the harbour-on the same side as limini-but i dont know what it was called. one of the waiters- spiros- also worked at limini at sandy beach (the most gorgeous place ive ever seen!)! Anyone going to be out there at the same time as me?

Greece C

Hiya, i went 2 greece and had a great time. The night life is good, the beach is gorgeous... but there are relaxing places aswell.
p.s. Did anyone else get 'stalked' by an Albanian lad called Alex??? he is nice enough when u get talking but.....

Laura,
An excellent service is offered by Kostas and Stefanos at the Travel Corner in Kassiopi. They have various apartments and villas and can also arrange flights and transfers. The web-site is very informative (www.kassiopi.com)and advise that you take a look at it.

how do I book accomodation in Kassiopi. Is there a list of hotels? villas? available independantly?

Kim H

I went to Kassiopi in 1999 as a 14 year old on my first ever arboad holiday and I have to say that it was brilliant and I will never forget it! We stayed in the Denise Appartments (right next to Michaelangelo), quite spacious even for a family of 5, and in a lovely setting. Just outside the village but within walking distance of that and the beaches! The Harbour Bar (location self-explanatory) was great and from what I remember and if you want a good English meal, go to Mickey's which is on the right hand side of the main road before you get into the town. Great holiday, great memories

Having tavelled to most parts on holidays I am returning to Kassiopi for my fourth year on the run.
The place is lovely and the hospitality of the local people is the best.
Its a must try it you wont be disapointed.

I went to Kassiopi in May of last year, and thought it was fantastic!!! We stayed in the Katia Beach appartments, just about 15 minute walk out of the town and found it peaceful and beutiful. The town becomes very busy at night, but we found that even with our 6 month old daughter with us, there was still plenty of things for us to do. We have since booked to go again this year and can't wait!!!

Kassiopi is Great we've been there 7 times

My partner and i went to Kassiopi in June 2002, after previously visiting other resorts on the island. This was by far the most charismatic of all the resorts we've visited, and the quality and choice of food was excellent. The harbour is charming, especially at night. The nightlife in general is laid back, rather than full on in your face, so it's ideal for 30 something couples like us, and especially families. I found Corfu a little more expensive since the advent of the Euro, but in general the food was reasonably priced when eating out. I'd recommend "Yannis" restaurant. The setting was brilliant (overlooking the bay), and the food and service was excellent everytime we visited. The same customers seemed to return night after night. We'd certainly go back to Kassiopi for the food and harbour if nothing else. Go no try it, i'm sure you will enjoy it.

I've just got back from Kassiopi and I can't wait to go back!! I would recommend Bolero's, it's the best restaraunt in Kassiopi!!! You'll also have a wicked night in the Eclipse Bar, the DJ really gets the party going!!! The town has something to offer everyone.

gary hood... andreas appts are really nice.. pretty, location is fine. not far from main st. there's lovely coves and pebbley beaches in kassiopi but sandy beach is the best (kalamaki)..you can get a boat there every day peak season from the harbour for 5.50 euros (approx £3) for the whole day.stunning beach. you'll love kassiopi don't worry

Lucy M

villagemichelangelo is great for a holiday for couples and familys have enjoyed the friendly staff and atmosphere

Jeremy L

We both have hectic jobs and wanted a peaceful but not boring place to be together. We chanced on Kassiopi and loved it. The restaurants and general ambiance of the place entranced us so much we booked to return this year. We snorkelled, shopped for fresh bread, ate at the Three Brothers and watched the reflected sunset on the hills of Albania every day. Can't wait to get back there.

Darren T

A beautiful harbour, stunning views over the sea to Albania and a great atmosphere in the bars at night, without becoming tacky. A wonderful place to just sit and relax. Popular with Italians, which says a lot...
