Restaurants in Sidari

Becky

First went to Sidari in may 04 and ate in the Olympic every night as it's amazing! The dancing is phenomenol, all of the waiters are wonderful (Spiros,Kosta,Kaniebas,Ervis,George,Spiros), we made good friends with all of them and went back in july 04 as we loved Sidari so much. Again we ate here every night and went clubbing with all the waiters after their shifts the whole two weeks we were there!! Ervis and i(becky) had an extra special relationship since my first week there in may as he is far from discreet when he likes you!!! Looking forward to Kaniebas,Spiros and Ervis coming to stay with us in the winter it's gonna be a handful! See ya then boys. xxx

Natalie H

Zoe

Emilia is lovely and so are all the other waiters that were there. cant wait to see ervis spiros and george again. see you soon love zoe and linzi x x x x x x x x x x

Jan H

This was one of two places that we ate regulary and coud not fault it at all the sevice was brilliant and Amellia was just lovely talked to myself and my husband every time we passed the place but not just to get us into the resteraunt but because she was a freindly girl. The food was perfect we would recomend the Olympic to anyone who goes to Sidari. Thank you Amellia and all the staff

Vicky and becky

How can the guy below claim the waiters are dangerous lunatics when they are merely practising thier traditional dance and fire dancing for the tourists. Its called tradition i thought thats why you go on holiday was to experience a little bit of CULTURE..not just beer and kebabs!...get a grip!, dangerous lunatics! what a joke. Oh and we are intersted in the flattery and flirting that occurs at this resturant, and i must say again due to the fact we like having fun and a few laughs seeing as we were on holiday! ..cheer up and stop moaning!..vicky and becky...

Adam G

Went in purely as it looked busy. we soon found out why. The dancing waiters, the spinning chairs tables and children around in their teeth not to mention the fire was simply awesome. We sat in there for an hour and didn't care that the service was slow because the entertainment was so good. Yes the food is slightly more expensive than other places, but Olympic isn't like the other places. I had a mixed grill and it was the best meal i ate in sidari and i ate a lot while there.

Zoe M

well wat can i say the food was excellent and the service was excellent. we went there every night and were never dissappointed. the waiters were so friendly and Spiros( nikos son), ervis and george were SO FIT. cant forget emilia and Kostas they were lovely. we had the same table reserved for the 10 of us us every night while i went off talking to spiros, ervis and george who are completely wonderfull guys ( georgeous) cant wait to see them all again comin back soon love zoe.

Stuart M

Vicky and Becky are obviously more interested in the flattery and flirting with Costa and Canabeans (his father is German, Heinz)than with the food, these men are dangerous lunatics with their fire and chair-spinning. It was overpriced and disgusting and the staff ARE so very very rude!

Stuart M

Don't be fooled by the comment below. All they are interested is in dancing the food was crap! They danced every fifteen minutes just to get punters in the doors. An absolute nightmare!! Once again "THE FOOD HERE WAS CRAP!" Do not go into this place... you will regret it.

Vicky and becky

Please ignore the comment below if you have not been to the Olympic before, this has to be a very major one off or these peeps just dont knwo how to join in and have fun, there is no way the service is poor and im not sure if they are referring to Kaniebas (glasses) or Costa (baldy) below but there is no way they are remotely rude, possibley the funniest nicest guys in the world!...Recommend you go back and join in with the fun, games, dancing and flirting and maybe you would not notice if your dinner was a little late.

Deborah N

I would recomend this restaurant to erm let me see NO-ONE! it took an hour and a half for us to get our dinner and wen we asked for more butter we were nearly thrown in the sea!!

very over priced only interested in the dancing and not serving customers and to the big tall waiter with a baldy head and glasses u r soooooooooo rude!!!!

Steve M

We ate here the day before we left, the food was absolutely excellent, we chose to sit out the back looking out onto the sea, the service was probably the best we recieved, entertainment was great and smirnoff ice were only 3euros cheaper than every other restaurant of bar.

Vicky and becky

Well we have just got back from our second holiday to Sidari in as many months, and we STRONGLEY recommend this resturant!...the staff are amazing so friendley (if you catch my drift!)...we have made some great friends by going here all of which are coming to visit us in the winter! Where do i start, this place is like no other! My mates danced on a table in a ring of fire with all the waiters.Ahhh, the waiters, Spiros, we love you and hope to see you over here in england mate! Ervis typically sleezy Greek after all the girls but good fun all the same. kostas and emilia we love you guys, thankyou for great times. (if you make friends with Kostas he might give you a discount on water sports) they brought out a totally unordered surprise birthday cake for my mate Faye for free. I've never seen such sexy greek dancing! seriously girls, you'll love it! All the waiters do it, not specially hired peeps. Food was delicious and after extensive research we decided their swordfish was the best in town, in fact pretty much all their food beat the other restaurants. And it was fairly cheap. Was there the night they WON Euro 2004! Never seen Kostas so happy, he and Spiros+ Kaniebas looked sooooooo sexy in their Greek football shirts! Want to go back next year. I love those guys!

Nat, "

well after 2 vistis in 2003,1 this year, and 1 booked for september, we love Olympic. The food is always spot on, and the staff are lovely. Through the two weeks in may and june, we went there every night, same table, same time always reserved under "the girls. Even though they made us get on the table dancing on top of fire, we still went back for more. Nikos (the owner) always made us welcome, probably because karen is going out with his son, Spiros!!the other two spiros' were lovely, except curly haired spiros made us fold napkins the one day for a bottle of mythos. The other Spiros looked like spengler from ghostbusters, great guy and gave us free drinks in ceasars afterwoods,or let us run riot behind the bar making our own cocktails. Well then we get to Ervis (Elvis) and his WAGON, since we have known Ervis he has never changed, always hanging around trying to get involved, waiting for his 5 seconds of fame standing on Spiros and spiros! Ervis is a top guy, we told him his car was a wagon, and on our nights out we made him ask english girls if they wanted a ride in his TIN WAGON...Bless him. Besides the entertainment food was superb, especially the steak and grilled chicken, you have to try. Look around for curly haired Spiros girlfriend, Lea, she makes you very welcome as she is english, and her daughter Mya is very sweet will sing and dance barbie girl for you all night. See you in September guys, as again we need our table and surroundings decorated as its claires birthday, also need another cake if you don't mind. After september there will be no more holidays, as we have arranged to live there for the season. x x x x x x x

This was a great place. we went here about 3 times in one week. there were 12 of us, including 4 kids. The fish dishes were lovely, the steaks in special 'Olympic' sauce were great, the ice creams were great. The dancing is brilliant and the fire dancing was marvellous. we happened to be lucky enough to be there one night whilst they were doing a dance where the pick a table up with their mouth and spin around with it, with a child sat on top of it. one night they were looking for children and came and got my 5 year old nephew and put him on it! they promised if we went back on our last day they would do it again, so we did, on the day greece knocked france out of euro 2004, with my nephew in his greece kit, and they spun him round really fast, he loved it! the atmosphere in here is great!

As a regular visitor to Sidari, the Olympic has been one of my favourite restaurants since I was about 3yrs old(Im now 16) and me and my family just keep going back.
The food is brilliant, I couldnt just recommend one thing in particular, although I should give their Cheese Pies a mention cos ummmm.....
We usually sit out the back as theres an amazing seaview, but I do like to come inside when the waiters crank up the music and treat guests to some traditional greek dancing complete with fire and everything!
Nikos, the owner, is a legend-it wouldnt be the same without im!-and all the waiters are waiters are wonderful, some of 'em are quite fit as well! Big up guys and Il see ya in August!

Vicky C

there are few words to describe the sheer pleasure an evening at this restaurant gives you, the food is very good and reasonabley priced but its the service and the staff and the dancing that make this the best restaurant ever!...with all my love to spiros (all of you), pitsipop, kostas, phillipos!,kavros, nikos, ervis, eleanor, you guys with all your enthusiasm, (even after a 18hr day, on 1 hr sleep!), youir friendliness and craziness (not to mention all the free drinks and secret trips to the toilets! you know who you are) made this the best holiday we have ever had. we spent all 7 nights of our holiday eating here and its never a dull moment....i recommend it to anyone who likes a great night out, but as said above not for the brits on the p**s crowd..very greek very traditional and quite simpley amazing...the waiters are more like trained comendians, dancers and acrobats with flammable liquids! not to mention very good looking! definately a restaurant for the ladies!...love from vicky and becky and paula england.. xx see you in september boys! xx

Jill S

Nice to relax for the whole evening. You pay a little more than everywhere else but its still cheap compared to Britan. The dancing was excellent and everyone had a really good time. Go there on a Friday or a Saturday for a nice night.

Natalie

Excellent Place, Dancing was Spectacular. Especially the dancing through flames and balancing tables in thier mouths whilst spinning! Food was nice, not a bad price. P.S. Watch your mobile phone, one of the waiters tried to swap mine with his! :o)

Kevin P

Food very good - we ate there for our first meal out. Good service - reasonably priced. Greek dancing very entertaining - done with a smile on their faces.

Sarah H

Food was nice especially the steaks!, some of the staff were friendly, went there twice but had no dancing what so ever. the prices were reasonale.

Nick G

And exactly how many restaurants in Britain would let a party of 13 sit where they want? I'll tell you, none.

And the dancing is on every night, I don't believe for a minute they told you otherwise. A little tip for you - learn a bit of greek and maybe you'll understand what they say.

Tracey B

VISITED TWICE AND FOUND THAT BEING A LARGE PARTY (13) YOU HAD TO SIT AT THE BACK OF THE RESTERAUNT EVEN THOUGH WE WANTED TO WATCH THE DANCING.
WAITER SERVING AT THE BACK WAS VERY NICE BUT NO ATMOSPHERE, STAFF EVEN SAID "NO DANCING TONIGHT" WHEN WE ENTERED BUT IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR MEAL THE DANCING STARTED, VERY DISAPOINTING WHEN THAT WAS THE REASON FOR OUR VISIT.

Nick Y

Didn't eat here but looked a fun place.

Nicky H

Great breakfasts. Well priced.

Nick G

Simply the best restaurant in Sidari! Excellent service, superbly cooked food and great entertainment when the dancing starts. We ate here most nights and by the second week we were being given free drinks until we could drink no more! Thanks to all at the Olympic! See you next year.

Andrew D

Onasis meze is mushroom, bacon and cheese. Pastitsada had large chunks of beef, very nice. Sofrito was better here than at the Paradise. Sweets fresh fruit and ice-cream were delicious. Dancing gets more frequent the later you stay. Good atmosphere.

Mike B

food excellent, service excellent.Waiters not greasy and very good with children. All the usual greek dishes tzatziki, vine leaves, kebabs,
try the sofrito -veal or beef cooked with oil vinegar and garlic.
regular displays of greek dancing every night, and a superb greek night on saturdays. Not a place for boring brits who are after john smiths on draft and fish and chips.Ps most greek food is greasy its the olive oil.Its good for you.

Dale D

We have now been to Sidari 3 times, twice this year. This restaurant has brilliant atmosphere every night!! Greek dancing by the waiters, and on Sats. Greek fire dancing - the waiters are fantastic - and make very good friends. Food is ok - try the greek dishes!! and the sweets are brill - the kids always get sparklers. We have made some very good friends within this resturant and we recommend it to anyone!! If you are visiting the Olympic say Hello to all the Spiro's, Alex and Thanassis from us!!

Lorraine M

Greasy little waiters serving disgusting greasy food - yuk!
