Hi, My family and I stayed at the Monika 12th - 26th June 2006, absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a 2 bed selfcatering apartment, marble floor, high ceilings, brand new kitchen and bedroom fitments, 2 bathrooms one being an en-suite off the master bedroom the other one just by the second bedroom. The bathrooms too were brand new, beautiful and clean. We could not ask for anything better. The whole apartment was massive the biggest we have ever stayed in, the only downside to it was that there was no air-conditioning so at night it was very very warm, but they might have put it in by now, as the other accomodation on the complex have got air conditioning.
I would certainly return to the Monika again in a couple of years time and would highly recommend it, oh and for all of you that have read horrible reports about the Monika dont worry because we didn't find any problems with the Monika at all. I suppose the rooms could be classed as basic, but you have everything you need, after all you only sleep in there and then go out all day.
I think the Monika ought to be classed as at least a 3 star, accommodation wise.
