San Carlos - (Restaurants in St George Sth)

We tried several different restaurants in St. George, but chose San Carlos for our wedding anniversary, we ordered lobster which was pricey but very enjoyable. It has great sunset views. They offer specials, one day it was grilled sardines which were delicious. The service is very friendly and efficient and the variety of menu and the prices were very good.

Panorama - (Restaurants in St George Sth)

click to enlargeclick to enlargeThe Panorama is the same management as Dora Apartments opposite. We ate frequently at Panorama and tried several different dishes. I liked the Greek salad and the Chefs salad which were just right for lunch. Evenings tried kebabs, Beef Stifado, fish. all were very enjoyable, ample portions and friendly relaxed atmosphere. Some evenings just strolled over for a coffee and Metaxa night cap and watched the world go by. There is a night club opposite called Oh La La(sic), which is not too loud to spoil your enjoyment and quite entertaining watching younger teenagers trying to sneak in.

Jimmys Seagull - (Restaurants in St George Sth)

Service was very slow, the waiter seemed  like he couldn't care less, and the Bourdeto was left unfinished as it was only an unappetising muddy brown colour with nothing else. I wouldn't visit it again, although it is a great shame as the gardens were nicely kept, it could be a delightful setting.

Varied resort can be busy at times and sleepy at others. Lots of restaurants and bars which should cater for all tastes. Some showing live football, karaoke nights, quizzes, Elvis, Michael Jackson and Ozzy Ozbourne tribute acts, fire eaters, belly dancers. Others are quieter and offer a more relaxed and perhaps more sophisticated evening, depends what you want. Noticed that all the restaurants seem to be child and family friendly, some offering familiar food that kids will eat without fuss. The beach is long and sandy, lots of watersports such as parasailing, donut rides, jetskiing, pedalos, motor boat hire. Sunbed and umbrella hire at 6 euros per day for 2 beds. Various boat trips available, didn't try them but seemed to be a fair choice. Drawback is only one bus per day out of the town, so if you want to get out and about you will need to think about hiring a car, quad bike, motor bike, scooter; loads of people seem to.
