Spiros Taverna - (Restaurants in Paleokastritsa)

My sister and I were on holiday for two weeks in June and we ate here most of the time. There were a few disappointments but most of the time we thought the food was very good value for money. And we certainly never suffered with any food related illnesses during our time on holiday! (See previous comment). My favourite dishes were sirloin steak romana, spagetti with seafood, village chicken and the seafood saganaki. It was a very friendly restaurant with lots of character and even a resident family of swallows! Irene is an excellent host, and takes time to talk to all her customers, which we did not get in any of the other restaurants we ate in. The other staff were all very good and efficient too, especially Spiros.

Elena Apartments - (Accommodation in Paleokastritsa)

When we first arrived we were a bit disappointed with the decor of the appartments, feeling we'd been transported back to the seventies. But when we got used to it, we felt very much at home and being on the top floor we had a massive balcony with absolutely stunning views of the mountains. The lady who cleans (and who owns the appartments too) is second to none. She came to clean every other day and did a great job. I would certainly return here.

Ag Spiridon Beach - (Beaches on Corfu)

If you are a good swimmer, try the Acopolco Bar at the top end of Paleo. It has steps into the sea, and you can then swim to the neighbouring beach of Liapades. From there you can swim out to an isolated beach and have it all to yourselves! Luxury. Beware the pebbles on the beaches though. My sister and I tried to emerge from the sea like Ursula Andres but failed miserably as we hobbled and limped over the painful pebbles.
