Went on holiday with mygirlfriend and was informed by Thomson how great these appartments were, they came highly recommended so we thought great! The drive to the appartment was horiffic and it got worse when we were shown our room.
Beds: Seperate (although told double), woods slates missing, 100yr old mattresses complete with fleasLighting: Only1light worked (in kitchen area), none in bathroom or by beds
Storage Space: Wardrobe doors hanging off, didn't dare open it
Bathroom: Not hot water for entire holiday, no hook for shower, no toilet roll holder
Only saw a cleaner once, she came in with no cleaning kit took the bin and left. There were more mosquitos then you can ever imagine. I ended up with 47 bites after one week, my girlfiend ended up with 31 and that was after trying all kinds of remedies (which cost a fortune). We would never return to these appartments even if they gave us a free holiday. Totally disgusted and disappointed. We do not advise anyone to take a holiday with Kosmar as the write up in the brochure was great and it was the total opposite. Up side to the holiday, Sidari is a lovely, peaceful place with great views. Would recommend Sidari if you want to relax in peace. Just make sure the accommodation is great first.

| Alex and his family were lovely they went out of their way to help us.
The complex itself was nice and quiet with a 20-25 minute walk into Sidari town. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and met some lovely people whilst we were there, we would definately go back to Katerina Apartments for another holiday
![]() Sidari town was really nice with plenty of shops and bars on offer. Canal De Amour was like a picture postcard with fantastic beaches. A must to do whilst you are there is to hire a power boat, it was really cheap and worth every penny.

There used to be two Katerina Apps. one near the Three Little Pigs and one the other side of Cana d'Amour. We stayed in the first last year (August 2004) and found it excellent. Thro the owner and his wife were friendly and made eveyone welcome. The accomodation was very good and clean with plenty of space and two bedrooms for myself, my wife and our two children. Even though it is within a short walking distance from Sidari centre it was quiet as it is shielded by its location. Last Week (beginning 12th August 2005) we stayed in the other Katerina Apps. We had a brilliant time. The accomodation was spartan but adequate, we had a ground floor appartment and out two children stayed in their own above us, (theirs was large spacious, clean with a large shower room). We were made to feel welcome by Alex, the owner, and his sons. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and took an active approach to making our childen feel happy and wanted. The food is excellent and there is a family atmosphere about the place. While we were there we visited the first Katerina and found it is now called the Takis and can be booked through Olympic Holidays.
If you want to enjoy the Greek experience either of these two places will satisfy you. If you want to complain about the missing toilet rolls when there is a shop a hundred yards away or the Mossy biting your bum when there are mossy frighteners available or the lack of 24 hour shine on the marble floor pick Paris or New York. Most of us prefer the more basic, laid back atmosphere of the islands.
Well Done Theo and Alex!!!!Peter Finch and Family

Katerina Apartments:-Sidari:- Corfu:- Kosmar
We were quite worried I have to admit when I read the reviews on this site for the 'Katerina apartments' we had booked last minute and were expecting the worst. However we were pleasantly surprised, by the standard of the apartments which were clean, and also by the very warm welcome we recieved from the owner Alex and his son Nicos. All be it that the apartments were basic, and the walk into the town took on average 15 minutes. We hired push bikes from the property next to the apartments for a couple of pound a day which helped us to get some exercise and also a way of seeing the scenery. And due to the location at least we were able to sleep at night, which is more than you can say if you were in the centre of Sidari!!
We would also recommend 'The Orchard' which is about 5 minute walk from 'Katerina' and do an amazing breakfast, which cures hangovers and sets you up for the day, evening meals are also very nice!!!! along with owners George and his wife Debbie.
Overall we had a fabulous holiday, throughout our 2 week stay alex and nicos were always chatty and extremely pleasant, so much so that we intend to revisit.

KATERNIA APARTMENTS
We arrived at theend of August 2004.We were slightly disappointed withthe quality of the apartments and the cleanliness lefta lot to be disired. I unfortunatley got bitten over 40 seperate bites of which i took photos of. These had got infected and caused me great discomfort. I had these bites all over my face. We were not warned about this and this happend to many families and their children.
The service was not up to scratch but we fond a lovely resturant serving traditional food etc up the end of the road - called "Mythos" It was lovely. Suggested trip - the beach bbq, it was lovely although a lot of wasps but the beach was to die for amazing and the trip on the boat to the island was paradise, so exotic! You get what you pay for.

| We have stayed at the Katerina apts for the past three years (that is the Katerina near the three pigs restaurant not the one miles out!) Theo and all of the staff are fantastic including the cleaners who do a grand job. Entertainment is low key meaning that you can be assured of some peace and quiet at night, except on Theo's weekly BBQ night when you can try out your karoake skills -great fun and well worth the money! Food is good and served all day in case you don't fancy venturing far from the beautiful clean pool. The location is ideal within easy reach of the main strip and canal d'mour (5-10 mins walk) but far enough away for some peace and quiet even in high season. Please do not confuse these apartments with the larger complex further away from the centre which seems to be getting really bad reports. this property should appeal to everyone, our party normally consists of two children, four adults and two pensioners and everybody is kept happy. I only have one problem and that is that we have so far been unable to book for next year as they seem to have dissapeared from the brochures. Theo told us in September that they may be changing the apt name to the Takis and that Olympic holidays may be featuring them but olympic have so far proven totally unhelpful and uninterested. If anyone knows anything or can help, please let me know! | ||||||||||

| Katerina apartments were probably the most furthest of all the apartments from the main strip/restauants/bars. Many thanks to the people who said it wasn't that far! We had to cycle back and forth every day which did nothing for our credibility. The apartments themselves were nice and clean but quite basic to say the least. The staff were friendly when you weren't asking for toliet roll replacements! These apartments definitely need better lighting/mirrors to get ready in and also need more hanging space. Will probably be going next May but won't be going back here! | ||||||||||

| There are two Katerina Apps in Sidari - We stayed at Katerina apps owned by Alekos ..........(so Scott apologies if u stayed at other) Wee walk Scott? wee walk? we wld curse (jokingly) your comment of a 'wee walk' everyday pissing ourselves - there is no apartment further from Sidari !! Luckily we hired bikes (cycling) from Katerina's next door neighbours - (speaking of which god help those that stayed there - the owner aka Munchkin is scary enough not to mention the de new new land). Pretty apps but agree with cutlery comment, we bought plastic stuff. To prevent mossies use a plug in + spray yourselves - not app owners fault. There is no safety boxes but "its ok cause Alekos does 24 surveillance" HA HA. All in all v, basic and alot broken but ok for a cheapy hol. | ||||||||||

| Our apartment had no fan, no air con, lizards, mosquito's, the beds were tired, only one pillow each the cutlery was dirty and the furniture on the veranda was a death trap. It was at least 2:30 in the morning before you could get to sleep. Apart from that it was OK. | ||||||||||
