Manos - (Tour Operators on Corfu)

Sheila P  (12 June 2005)

We have had many Manos holidays over the years and the last one was to Arillas, Corfu (1998) with no problems at all.  We are returning soon and have been quite concerned at the two most recent reports about the transfer situation - having been there twice before, we know it can be done in the stated one and a half hours so something has gone sadly wrong here.  Please can anyone else who has been to Arillas with Manos this year post their experiences as, at the moment, I think we may well be better off relying on a taxi transfer from the airport, which should take no longer than one hour at the most, as we don't fancy the idea of 3-4 hours on a coach in the hottest part of the afternoon.  Unfortunately, the reps will get the brunt of people's complaints about this but they can only work within the constraints that Manos put on them so you can't really blame them - just make sure that your feelings are made known to Manos on your return - they should never have got in bed with that Airtours (My Travel) gang, I say - they were fine when they were independent.  Do Manos still give out the questionnaires, by the way - haven't seen one from any recent tour operator we have used for several years now.

Tria Adelphia - (Accommodation in Arillas)

Peter - if you look at the picture in the Manos brochure, the building to the right is the maisonettes - they are new since we were last there and I don't think they will directly overlook the pool.  Building in the middle of the picture is the studios and the the four apartments are to the left.  A bath and hand towel for each guest is normally provided but we find it's a good idea to bring your own big towels as well - one for the shower and one for the beach/pool.  Looking forward to our third visit to Arillas at the end of the month - 2nd time to Tria Adelphia - might see you there - enjoy!
