Kassiopi is a most welcoming resort, on the north east coast, the harbour is the focal point with enough bars , tavernas and retaurants to keep you happy all season. There is lots of accomdation dotted in and around the village centre. The shops are very reasonably priced and eating out is very competative and very affordable. I have never been ripped off here, the locals are friendly and honest , most people speak English.
There are lots of things to do in Kassiopi, Diving ,Snorkling , fishing, boat cruises or hire your own, good for couples or families or come on your own you will be very welcome, lots of nightlife till late, late ...if that's what you want. Car hire is as reasonable as anywhere and Petrol is similar to UK (wet and smelly) the beaches can be pebbly but if you don't mind going out aways you can find some sandy beaches. Visits to Sidari, Corfu Town, Paleokastritsa are a must.
My local is always Illusions on the harbour, 3 brothers take it in turn to man the bar throughout the evening with jovial banter. hope you enjoy visiting here, you will return again and again after a visit that's for sure. The picture is of me with Nikos Grevas 1 of the 3 amigos @ Illusions.
happy holidays

| Very much enjoyed Kassiopi. Easy mixing of all age groups in the evening at clubs and bars. Lovely fishing village atmosphere eary mornings. Leasurely eating during the day and the whole place comes alive of an evening. Recommend searching out the more authentic greek places to eat, especially the family run taverna Strofilia. Local beaches are ok but really recommend "sandy beach" at kalamaki ( 10 mins on the boat or 5 mins mini bus - both direct from Kassiopi). |

Can't say anything except I LOVE the place. Been visiting for the last 6 years, sometimes twice a year. Love it so much we are buying some land nearby!!! not able to build for a while cos no dosh left, but hey, there's always camping!! Stop at Manessis apartments, they're bril, Diana is a fantastic hostess along with the rest of her family. Absolutely gutted to hear about Scuba!!! know him from a pup, and Angelo's "twin" "little John" will be gutted too!!! We're flying out on Monday, so be nice to see everyone again, specially at Deja Vu, Illusions, Out of the Blue and Jasmine, and can't wait for some decent grub at Uncle Simos, Strofilia's and the grill room! Anyone out there now, say HI!!!!!!!!!!! |

I have been going back to Corfu for at least ten years, and i prefere to stay in Kassiopi becuase it has every thing you want, it has night life, it has also quiet life, it has enough to keep children happy, if you use your emagination, food on the whole is verry good and reasonably priced, it,s not too comercial, and it has retained a lot of the traditional quallities. The best thing i like about it is the people are so friendly and can speak very good english, but it is even better if you can at least try and speak some Greek they will respond even more, after all we are the foriegnors. Has anybody been there reciently? is the dive shop open? is Angelo there? |

Went to Paleokastritsa in 2003 and took a day trip to Kassioppi for a day and stayed over night. I really loved the place, thats why I am returning for a week in May this year. Setting is great, in a small valley extending onto a headland peninsula, with harbour and coves and turquoise waters. The town itself is spot on for a holiday. Peaceful and a bit cosmopolitan during the day and lively at night. Loads of friendly locals who are genuinely glad to talk to you and not putting on the friendly act. I particularly like the fact that it is a real living breathing Greek town and not just for tourists. Im just sorry Scuba the Newfoundland dog is no longer with us. He followed us around the resort that day and loved diving for stones in the harbour. I had to rescue him from the boat ropes as he was tangled at one point. Apparently theres a Scuba2.... guess I will find out soon. |
