Trivizas Apartments - (Accommodation in Sidari)

Nick G

Avoid like the plague! Admittedly the location is pretty good, just a minutes walk from both the beach and the centre of Sidari. However, our apartment was right on the main road through Sidari so it was extremely noisy until about 5am! While the apartments are quite spacious they are not clean, bordering on dirty. Air conditioning is available in the apartments but at a cost of approx £5 a day. Don't even waste your time trying to get a late check-out room, the owner (Spiros) is such an awkward so-and-so, and even if he does agree to give you a room he'll charge you £30 for it. Do what we did, walk across the road to SB Travel and ask to use their apartment. Only costs £20 and they let us keep it until the coach came to pick us up. Sidari is a great place, but we won't be using these apartments again.

Olympic - (Restaurants in Sidari)

Simply the best restaurant in Sidari! Excellent service, superbly cooked food and great entertainment when the dancing starts. We ate here most nights and by the second week we were being given free drinks until we could drink no more! Thanks to all at the Olympic! See you next year.

Cactus Jacks - (Restaurants in Sidari)

I arrived back from Sidari 2 days ago so I'll comment while everything is still fresh in my mind! My wife and I ate here several times and we have nothing but praise for the food, staff and general atmosphere of Cactus Jacks. Yes, the prices are a Euro or two more than other restaurants in the area, but you have to keep in mind the portions are huge so you are actually getting better value for money. We usually ate between 7.30-8.30pm, when the restaurant was generally full to the rafters. There's no better advertisement than a full restaurant.

Three Little Pigs - (Restaurants in Sidari)

This is certainly not the place it was 3 years ago - it has definitely changed hands. Don't get me wrong, the food is ok and it's certainly very clean but I think the only reason it's so busy is its location. Try the Olympic or Cactus Jacks before going here.

Faros - (Restaurants in Sidari)

We didn't actually eat here purely because they are one of the only restaurants to have people out on the streets trying to drag you in. I don't mind if they're outside the restaurant because you can just walk past them but this restaurant had people all down the main street in Sidari!

And exactly how many restaurants in Britain would let a party of 13 sit where they want? I'll tell you, none.

And the dancing is on every night, I don't believe for a minute they told you otherwise. A little tip for you - learn a bit of greek and maybe you'll understand what they say.

First Choice - (Tour Operators on Corfu)

An utter disgrace. Rude, unhelpful and not a single one of them in Sidari speaks Greek.

To be fair, we were in one of the four apartments that were on the main road, there are about 18 other apartments that aren't on the main road that probably aren't noisy. The good news is that First Choice paid me £200 compensation yesterday for their brochure claiming the apartments were not on the road. Result!

Faros Club - (Bars in Sidari)

It's like an Under 18's disco every night. No adult with a shread of class would set foot in the place. It wouldn't be so bad if the music was good, but cutting edge it isn't.
