hi all, just returned friday 29th may from these apts, very clean, food in the restaurant very good, my only gripe would be the pool bar closes at 6pm seems stupid to me the pool bar was run by mary and richard who were very obliging, even if she did call me margaret for the full week i know they meet lot of people so i never bothered. resort very quiet not a lot open, do not kno if i would return

My wife and I just returned after spending a week at Dora Studios. What can I say? the place is excellent. The apartment was very clean, and the cleaning staff do a first class job. The pool was excellent, as was the poolside bar. The Lady who runs it is an Englishwoman named Heather, she does a first class job. St. George itself is also very good, with one of the best beaches on the Island. It has dozens of very good places to eat, and some excellent bars. Check out Sebastians and the Almyra (the latter has two of the best looking waitresses in town). All in all, an excellent holiday.

Just back from Dora Studios again (8 July 2005) and had yet another excellent holiday in this fantastic resort.  Kostas (the Dora's owner) opened his new open air cocktail bar, "Al Pacino", but we quite liked "Orange", another new bar.

Booked these apartments for July, just wondering what the resort is like.  Worried it may be too quiet?

Hi there, I am staying at the Dora Studios in June, and really looking forward to it. Could anyone give me a website with pics of the apartments or an address where they are? Thanks!

Going back to Dora Studios on 24 June 2005.  Can't wait.  Went there for the first time in August 2004  and loved it.

Dora Studios were great, Maria the cleaner from Albania is a gem she works so hard for long hours nothing too much trouble. Look out for the owners refuse collector, a worn out Toyota with the rear window missing and full of dustbin bags. Costas the owner and his family are lovely people. The main man is Ronny he is Marias son a great lad he looks about 12 but served me with my first pint of Mythos on arrival July 16th 2004. The Mozzies were not too bad but we did have plug ins for the apartment and insect repellent for the evening strolls/dining.
We will be going back again soon definatley recommended.

just returned from st george south on the 19th of june. we stayed at the anna studios, the rooms were basic but very clean and tidy.our appartment was oppisite the dora appartments these appartments were also very clean and tidy so was the swimming pool. the resort has many bars and plenty of places to eat. the main beach is about 5 minuites walk from the anna and dora appartments and it is excellent you can hire speed boats, jet ski, parasending.it is worth getting a snorkel from the local shop to see the fish in the sea swimming around your feet.
if you want to know anymore about st george south please e mail me and i will try and answer your questions.sandpwilkinson@sandpwilkinson.karoo.co.uk

A lovely family run hotel, with great pool and pool bar, 2 minutes away from everything required for a brilliant holiday.

Thought it was a lovely hotel in a really nice little village. Be sure to check out the Balcony restaurant. Hilarious waiters. But there are pllenty of good restaurants around and some good bars. a good place to chill out without being too quiet.

If you need a 'chill' holiday with no small people to worry about, then I can thoroughly recommend the Dora studios. Very clean, lovely pool and bar. We will be going back next year.
