| We are going here for the third time we book through lastminute.com unfortunately you dont get a good view from your room or get a pool view with this company but thats not a great problem. The beach is a stones throw from the hotel and one of the best sandy beaches on the island most of the rest of the beaches are pebbles. If you want a beach holiday for a break with guarenreed sun this is as good a place as any .
Dont expect much nightlife thee are a couple of good pubs that do quizzes and many that show current films that have been copied onto dvd. Lots of big screens for football or any sport.

We have stayed at the Palm BEach hotel for two years running and are going back again this year...the hotel is fantastic and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and even remembered us from our previous holiday! The resort town is fairly chilled and relaxed, but this is not to say that bar entertainment in the evenings cannot get on the rwody side!!
There are two separate pools, and most of the families with children do tend to congregate at the one pool with activities for children. There is no lifeguard, but poolside bar staff will repsond to any kind of situation in which you may require assistance. If children are kept supervised then they should be perfectly fine.
The rooms are excellent, and kept beautifully clean every day by the friendly chamber maids, each with its own balcony which consists of a table and two chairs. The food in the hotel is normally very good, with variety for everyone...although I would say that if you live on McDonalds or fast food, forget booking here. The later dinner sitting (for families with children of 14+) does have a peak time of between 7 and 8 (roughly), so you work out when to time your arrival. Sometimes you do have to que for food, but in the two years that we have gone there we have never had to wait for a particularly long lngth of time. The meal arrangements are excellent because they allow you to eat what you wish for whichever course, and the waiting staff are friendly and prompt. If you use your common sense and see when the busy period is (which you will do on your first day!), you can easily avoid any waiting and hang out at the pool for another hour instead!
Evening entertainment at the hotel is of an average standard...we have seen a stand-up comedian each year, and I believe that in the early hours of every evening there is entertainment for children, after which the adult entertainment will begin. However, most people tend to go into the town.
Each tour operator will run their own day-trips, but you can take the local bus into Corfu Town (a good idea, but you have to go during the day rather than in the evening), and there are boat trips leaving from the beach every day that you can book yourself on.
The hotel is new, and is now in it's 4th season, so this does explain the seemingly lack of developed grounds, but it is still an incredibly beautiful environment, with some very pretty views. A holiday resort that I would fully reccommend!

| We stayed at Palm Beach at the end of September last year and this was a fabulous holiday. The hotel rooms are huge, pool area fantastic and it is right on the beach. WE WOULD DEFINATELY STAY THERE AGAIN but cannot find an operator who offers this hotel, any suggestions? It is more suited to couples than to families but we were very happy with it all and it remains one of our best holidays!!!! | ||||||||||

| We stayed at the Palm beach for a week at the end of July 2004, we did not know what to expect as we booked via the Teletext. When we arrived we were very impressed with the rooms and Hotel itself, the pool was lovely and very clean. The beach access was great and our two older children went on their own a few times. The only downfall of this hotel was the food, the restraunt staff and the meal times. The restraunt was not child friendly and made us feel very unwelcome. So even though it was a half board holiday we ended up eating out every night. The difference in atmosphere and friendliness overwelming. I would go back to ST George as we did love the place, but maybe not back to the Hotel Palm Beach, unless it had a self catering option. | ||||||||||

| Stayed at Palm Beach and was put off buy the reviews. However it's not as bad as some make out. Yep, the grounds still need a lot of work which is a pity, pool is excellent and as someone said no good for young children. Food was far better than I expected having read the reviews, but a bit repetitive. Not much for the kids who live on chips and chicken nuggets here though. Stupid, stupid rule about no kids after 7.30 in the restaurant, it meant that they tut tutted you if you arrived at 7! Got right up my nose. It's not a 4 start superior rating, it's good 3 star. I have loads of detail about this hotel and tips so email me if you want more! jon@korg.co.uk. | ||||||||||

| Just returned from Palm Beach Hotel, had a wonderful relaxing holiday. The family room was very spacious, with single beds for children, not camp beds that are usually provided. The hotel location was great for beach and main resort road to bars/tavernas.The food in hotel was good, plenty of choice. If u cannot find something you like on offer you must be a very fussy eater. My childern eat most of the adult food on offer and we all loved the self service approach as you could choose what you actually liked to eat.We had the early dinner sitting which was a little restricting, but on the other hand there were no queues. The hotel was good value for money and i would definately go back there. The swimming pool was great, but towels on sunbeds from the early hours or even the night before, was totally out of order, especially when most beds with towels on were'nt even used till about lunch time (and it wasnt always germans who were the culprits). The beach outside the hotel was a long stretch of sandy beach and not overcrowded if you walk along to the right hand side.Plenty of bars to sit and relax in, in the evening. The hotel did also have evening entertainment of music/singers/greek dancing at the beach bar,if you wanted to stay in the hotel grounds. I was apprehensive about this hotel after reading other reviews, but i can assure you it was lovely. | ||||||||||
