Dimitri, Nina, and the gang at Takis' in Kondokali have changed their e-mail address. As to the comments by Frank, above, I loved them! However, I do believe this page of the website concerns someplace in Kavos, Corfu, and the famous Takis' he's talking about, with Dimitri Gerekos, is located in Kondokali, Corfu, not Kavos! Please bear this in mind. If any of you out there have been to Takis' in the '60s or '70s, please write me! Pamelawell@AOL.com. Would love to hear from you. (I'm in California.) | ||||||||||

| you would have had to be there in the late sixties and early seventies to understand the charm of takis and dimitris g. in days of youth hostels and backpacks, takis was a more authentic representation of greek tavernas. i can understand how folks would not find it as comfortable now, but in the early seventies, you found the most interesting people from everywhere at takis. one night i remember dyann cannon, cary grant's wife, dancing with all the boys at takis. famous american artist, jon pearson of san francisco, was a regular and did portraits of various hotel and restaurant patrons in the eating area. stan nettles, the british blues man was also an inhabitant at takis. i would leave most of my gear with dimitris while i took side trips to athens, istanbul, rhodes or cyprus. he was a great friend and helped all travellers. it was a simpler time and a hot tub was not as important as the interesting folks you would run into at a place like takis. | ||||||||||

| well were do i begin!!!! first of all my friend and i renamed it tacky takis!! i'm sure you'll c why when you get there! if you want any information about the studios look in the drawers however unless you have a knife and fork handy you wont be able to open them i'll leave you figure out the rest when you get there have a nice holiday !! p.s also watch the beds!! especially if you go with one thing on your mind!!! best pub by far in kavos is fire bar for all those single ladies!!! | ||||||||||
