| Hi Cheryl,
We were at the Matoula in October last year, and did have a kettle, but no toaster. There is a oven cum grill, which you could use if needed.
We are going again on the 28th May for a week, but this time there will be 7 of us including 2 grand kids, so will probably see you there if you are going that late in May.
These apartments are one of the better ones we have stayed at in Acharavi, hence the reason we are coming back.

| We used to always stay at the Matoula, and last went 6 years ago, we moved out to Acharavi in 2001 and worked in Whispers. We are going back again this year, end of June, can anyone tell me if Spiros is the bloke who used to run Whispers or not?. Cant wait to go back. Love the place so much | ||||||||||

We've been many times to Acharavi, and to many different apartments, and stayed at Matoula three times. We found the Matoula some of the best in Acharavi. One of our favourite bars was Woody's, who is no longer there, but is run by Woody's family, Agkis and Rena. You must try Sunday lunch! Mind the step! We stayed at the Matoula the first two weeks in July and had a fantastic time. The kids (10,8&6) made some great friends and loved Spyros, many a time he gave them free drinks or a game of pool, the man is great!! We did have a few thunderstorms on a night and one day it wasnt great, rain etc. We have been to Greece many times and found this really unusuall, but having come back and spoken to people this is quite common apparantly! All in All we had a brilliant holiday and wouldn't hesitate in going back. Just one more thing, we didn't get affected by the mosquitos at all, there was 7 in our party and we only got one bite between us! Its common sense really, make sure you put plenty of repellant on, have the things in your room and get some burners from the big supermarket to put on the balcony (not candles, these things were like giant joss sticks!) and you will be fine

| hi. we got back from our 2nd stay at matoula on monday. It was an ace
holiday, weather was a bit rubbish on the second week with storms and
clouds. Hasn't changed much since 2002 when we were last there but the
place is still imaculatly clean! The only negative - the mosqitoes!!! no amount of repellent seemsed to keep them at bay! chloe

| For our first Family Holiday abroad, the matoula Apts had everything we needed. The Apts were immaculate and the daily maid service made us feel like we were really on holiday.
The Pools were nice and clean, especially the little pool where our 2 year old daughter played extremely happily with lots of friends she made while there.
The Beach (although a bit cobbley) was again clean and very safe with lots of friendly and cheap restraunts and bars for the stretch into the next resort of Roda (20 mins walk!) I would recommend valentines restraunt who made an extra effort with our daughter which made all the difference for us and a quiet meal!!! eg 2 course meal for 2 adults, 1 child with drinks (caraff of wine and beers) all for under 30 Euro's!!!
Another helpful thing is that quite a few of the restraunts and bars have childrens play areas attached to them!!
As for Spiros - He cannot do enough to help people (NO PROBLEM!!). The Greek night is a great laugh.
one last comment - Be prepared for Mosquitos!!!!!!!!
HI to Karen, Martin, Kira from Coventry and Jamie, Kim and Ethan from Huddersfield - Keep playing Bingo!!!
