Villa Maria

Accommodation in Paleokastritsa

The Villa Maria is the worst accomodation i have ever stayed in. Dirty, NOISEY (never get more than 3 hrs quite), dangerous (electric fittings blew off the wall) vermin droppings all over the eating area, facilitys were too poor to cook in, rusty equipment, fridges that dont seal, bathrooms that smell awful, wouldnt recommend to anyone, no matter how cheap.

These apartments are perfect for couples or families needing a base to explore the beautiful island of Corfu. They are clean and tidy and are located in a quite spot towards the top end Paleokastritsa. Although the apartments do not have a pool, there is a lovely clean family pool with a nice bar about 20 metres from the apartment. You can use this pool for free any time you want and the owner is very welcoming. I would recommend venturing over to the Norht East of the Island, there are some beautiful typical Greek coves that should not be missed. Also Corfu town is well worth a visit.

The Villa Maria Apartments are located on the Lakones road, among lovely, wel kept gardens. The downstairs studios sleep 2 - 3 and the upstairs rooms are apartments which have 3 double or twin bedrooms. They all have air conditioning too. The rooms themselves are quirky and typically Greek, (read: basic) but they have everything you need. The amenities and beaches of Paleokastritsa are around a 15 minute walk from the property and the nearest supermarket is around a 10 minute walk. It closes at 10pm on weekdays and 2pm on Sundays, so if you arrive on a night flight you may need to make some provision in advance. The lovely owner, Spiros, puts a bottle of water in the fridges for the guests on arrival. Guests have use of the pool at Phivos studios which are a 10 - 15 minute walk from the property, although the Acapulco and Aphrodite pools are also close by.
