Jeanne and I stayed for two unbearable weeks. The rep couldn't arrange a flight out. The rooms were cleaned only every second or third day. We had only one change of towels during the stay. The sheets were changed once. The pillows were sweat stained and smelly. The cooker was dirty and blew up once. The fridge growled noisily all night. The yobs that were staying at the same time were a bunch of noisy, loudmouthed drunks who caroused to loud music until the early hours - not good if you want to go on trips that start early morning. The meals were poor and relatively expensive. When it rained the pool area was overrun by toads. The family was friendly enough but fine words and smiles should be accompanied by a half-decent product. I can find absolutely nothing to recommend Goudelis Apartments. My advice is - avoid this place. | ||||||||||

Just got back from the Goudelis appartments, i thought they were great. It is quite a trek into town and the beach but i think it worth it for the place, its nice and private away from the road where as loads of the others have pools on the main street and people just walk past and look in which i didnt think was very good. Its prob 10 min walk to the start of town and a further 15 mins thru town to the beach (there are a few different beaches in Sidari. We rented a scooter, which although was good for getting around turned out to be pretty dangerous, and we ended up coming off it and ending up with lots of cuts and bruises. Unless you are experienced on scooters (even then the roads are bad) i would get a quad bike or car or beach buggy as they are safer. (after the accident the doctor told us ther is at least one scooter accident a week and most are fatal.) The pool at goudelis is really good, 2.8 meters at the deep end with diving board. The family are lovely, really friendly and fun, and they made sure we were ok after our accident which which was much appreciated in a foriegn country. We found that with one exception that the food in Sidari is amazing, didnt eat much at Goudelis but the breakfasts were cheap. The oasis, athena, and salt and pepper all served really tasty greek food reasonably priced.the pizza al forno restaurant was the only bad meal we had. We also went to logas/sunset beach which was lovely and had a meal watching the sunset which is well worth doing. We had a studio which was nice, its worth bringing tea bags and that sorta thing. Overall a lovely hol (except the accident) i would reccommend!
