Marilena Apartments

Good question!!! I have just been looking for the Marelina Appts to book for next year and cant find them  Please somebody tell us how to book these appts.

Can anyone tell me which tour operator these apartments are with now, I stayed there in 2007 and went with manos, but they don't seem to be offering them for next year?

retjust returned from sidari yesterday 8/9/08.stayed at the mari lena apartments .excellent location next to the siesta kareoke bar and the three little pigs,central for the strip and the canal .large apartments clean and well looked after,excellent pool, and the owner is very helpfull.

we got told these apartments was at the other end beside the 3 little pigs which is right

  hi we are off to these apts in june.they seem to be ok with nearly everyone whos stayed there so thats put our minds at rest.can someone please tell me the location of these apts?what are they near?cant find the siesta bar on the map.are they at the left hand side looking at the beack or the right?also any good supermarkets nr these apts?thanks in advance craig 

We have just returned from Sidari and agree with Sarah Kings comments. We could not fault apartments spacious, clean aircon for both rooms pretty good value (compared to previous holidays) location great. Yes you can hear the karoke bar but once the doors are shut it's not too loud, having said that we were out  late most nights. Pool was great and was kept clean. Owner very nice regularly popped round to see if all ok. Only gripe would be all shelfs in fridge hanging on last legs so to speak but we managed. Main beach good for watersports also liked smaller coves of the Canal D'armour area we were recommend one down track from bedlam bar and it was beautiful.

 I have just come back from staying in these appartments and i have got to say all the bad comments that i read before i went are so untrue. I stayed with my husband and two children aged one and five and found them to be very clean and not at all noisey, yes there is a bar at the end of the road but when you have your doors closed you can't hear a thing. The owner is very nice and if you have any problems she will sort them out straight away ,i've got to say i would go back there tomorrow.   HOPE THAT HELPS 

Just come back from the Marilena .. fantastic... very clean...excellent locations for beach... food.. bars... can not fault it...

we also did the boat barbecue trip and Aqualand trips... book through local opps as cheaper and much beter organised... found that out from other people  ( boat trip with barbecue on beach fantiastic... beach games and lots to drink and eat.... )

We have just returned from the Marilena apartments and can not fault them..

The Manos website describes Marilena as 'in a quiet setting' and 'in lovely gardens', neither of which are true. The apts are 50 m from a karaoke bar which is VERY loud and stays open until 1 am. It is not a good place for a family with young children to go.

Went to Marilena in July 2005, and they have a telly in each bedroom - amazing.  Very clean and marilena the maid is so lovley. Pool was quiet so nice and relaxing.  Would definatly go back if not just to chat to Marilena herself......

To Lisa, the Marilena apartments are literally in the resort centre, they are set back off the main strip, which is literally a 5 second walk onto the main strip. The nearest bar is at the bottom of the road that the Marlilena is on it's called the Siesta bar, and it was really good. They do play karaoke there till the early hours of the morning and the drinks are a little more expensive than most places but the guy they had DJing there was such a laugh!!

Sorry went off on on there! They are so close to the resort centre we could not believe it, which was a good thing! Hope that helps

Myself and 3 mates (all 25 yo lads) stayed at the Marilena Apartments from 29/8/05 - 12/9/05. The apartments themselves were good: clean; well-equipped (fridge, toaster, kettle, small electric oven with hobs, etc); good location just a few minutes walk to the beach and to the centre of Sidari; reasonably quiet (except for the karaoke bar down the road which stays open until 1am, although we stayed out until between 3 - 5am most nights so it wasn't really a problem for us!). The problem is the travel company that own these apartments - Manos. They are the worst travel company that i've ever had the misfortune to book a holiday with, and I would strongly recommend that you DON'T book a holiday with them, unless you want a badly organised holiday where you're constantly lied-to by the reps. Here are a couple of examples of our experience of Manos on this holiday:

• When we arrived at the apartments at around 12.30am (after a 2.5 hour coach transfer!) with the Manos rep, there was only one twin room available instead of the 2 twin rooms that we had booked. In addition, there was no electricity in the room. So, the Manos rep told us that all 4 of us would have to sleep in this one twin room with no electricity!! He assured us that he would send somebody around first thing the next morning to have a look at the electrics, then he swiftly departed and we never saw him again. Surprise, surprise, no-one showed up the next day to sort out the electricity! Only by using a bit of ingenuity did we manage to sort out the electricity ourselves, and we later discovered that there was a second room free in the apartment complex, which we swiftly claimed.
• The next day we attended the welcome meeting, which was with a different Manos rep. We told the rep all about the fiasco of the previous night, and basically he couldn't give a toss. He fobbed us off by saying that he was sorry, and that he would look into it and get back to us. We never saw him again. He never showed up for his daily visits to the Marilena.

All of the other guests at the Marilena that we met had similar complaints about the Manos reps. As I said, the apartments themselves were good, and all of the people staying there were very friendly. It's just a shame that Manos are such a bunch of muppets. We did actually have a very good holiday overall, as Sidari is a good place to visit if you're young and single (nice beach, plenty of bars, etc) but don't want to go somewhere as tacky as Kavos, and there are plenty of other things to do on Corfu. We went on a few day trips (not organised through the Manos rep, for obvious reasons!) to Corfu Town, Albania, and Aqualand (a water park), all of which I can highly recommend.

Stayed in the Marilena apartments for 2 weeks (27/6-11/7/2005) and must say they are the best we've stayed in. As soon as we arrived the lady who owned then was there to meet us, showed us where we were staying and waited to see if everything was ok. Pool was great, private and quiet. Situated in perfect position 2 minute walk to centre which was fantastic. No faults at all. Big rooms, maid service. The family who ran it was great and found the other people staying there very friendly, as it's a small apartment block everyone speaks to everyone. thoroughly enjoyed it would definatly go back

These apartments offered more than the usual greek ones, our room was a twin room so there were two bedrooms with twin beds, a kitchen and dining area, with oven, kettle and utensils and a dining table, they also supplied a television in each bedroom. They were situated very close to the main strip but were off the road  away from the hustle of the main strip, overall it was good we would recommend it.

These apartments were taken over by new owner's in 2004 they have been completely refurbished. They are very spacious, nicely decorated and have everything you will need. Maid service every other day. Air-con is available payable locally. Ideally situated 5 minutes from main road but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Swimming pool installed in 2004 with free sunbeds. Safety deposit boxes available free at the crossroads opposite Mc Donalds. Tour operator Manos @ www.manos.co.uk. Going to these apartments in June and wondered how much they charge for air con? and do they provide safety deposit boxes for a fee? Please help very excited about this holiday!!!

To the person asking about going back to the marilena apartments, who canot find them in a brouchure. we have just booked to go there through going places with manos

We stayed in the Marilena Appartments July 2003 travelling with Sunquest. We would love to go back but can't find the appartments in any brochures. Can any one who has been recently tell me which tour operator is using these fantastic appartments. Thanks.

These appts are really nice , very big rooms and were nice and clean. The pool was mostly empty which was nice and was it was situated in a very good spot. would go there again.

hiya every1 out there i was just wonderin if there is a pool and any coolio resterants out there? i gonna go there soon (aug) and i was wondering this stuff. i woz hoping that we wood luke it and that the location, Quietness and Cleniness is Excellent! we're gonna b goin there 4 2weeks and we hope it'll b brill!

Im going to Marilena apartments in Sidari in a month, ive read in a brochure that a swimming pool is planned for 2004, i was just wondering if it was finshed and if it would be available for use when im there? Also is there a good night life out there?
Please cpuld someone answer my questions as im going in a month!
