Just come back from a fabulous stay at the Marianna , would highly reccommend this place . It is run by Marianna and her two fabulous sons . Nothing was too much trouble for them the food was excellent the rooms were cleaned daily so were therefore fairly immaculate .Could improve the menu would be nice to have more choices and would benefit greatly from air conditioning otherwise it was tip top !Would definately return .
We have booked to stay at the Mariana in July 08 I know someone said it was on the road to San Stefanos from Sidari but I wondered just how far ? Is it as far as The Elena which are by Kosmar ?Someone also said hope for the new block !Are the two bedroom apartments in both or just one it wont make the slightest bit of difference but curiosity is getting the better of me I love Corfu and am really excited to be going again !
Best holiday ever had!!! thanks to marianna spiro and stefan! we miss you all guys, see you in june!!
great place and marianna is frently and helpfull, can`t wait till next year!!
kisses from athens xx
I have just returned from the Marianna apartments in Sidari, Corfu. I took my three daughters and grandaughter and we had two apartments next door to one another. This is a family run business with Marianna and her two sons Spiros and Stefan. They are extremely lovely people and nothing was too much trouble for them! I was surprised to read the previous reviews and can only think that these other visitors did not make themselves clear if there was any problem? Our apartments were cleaned and we had fresh white towels and bed linen provided. The kitchen equipment is basic but who goes away to slave in a kitchen? Marianna cooks all the food fresh when ordered and grows her own produce on site! She works extemely hard from 9am until 10pm at night. She also gave lifts to town to guests when taxis were not available! Her two sons run the bar and look after the site and the grounds are kept immaculate - grass cut , pool cleaned, bar areas clean and tidy. Everything looks freshly painted. Cleanliness is certainly not an issue! They all speak a good standard of English (much better than my Greek!)Sidari is a lively buzzing town with plenty of Bars, Clubs and restaurants to suit most tastes and pockets! My teenage daughter made friends at the Marianna apartments and they all went to the clubs at the weekend together (5 Euros in a cab) Its about 15-20 mins walk into Sidari town/ beach and same the other way to Canal d'amour. It was a great holiday for us! Two weeks for 5 people cost us £850 through Thomas Cook. We had an Olympic Rep called Vicky who was on site throughout the week to help with any questions etc. In fact the only complaint I heard was about the cost of the Olympic excursions! You can book just as good trips in Sidari for a fraction of the cost! I will certainly be going back as it was one of the best holidays I have had and great value for money.
we got back from mariana apts today. we are very regular travellers but must say that this was the worst experience we have had while in sidari. the transfer through olympic holidays was terrible, over three hours stuck on the coach, when we arrived at the apt. which is a good 2 miles from town, we had to make our own beds, (not nice when you have been up all night) when we looked around the place it hadnt been cleaned properly from when the last people had left, crumbs, soiled toilet etc, the sheets were only changed once in the whole two weeks we were there, very rarely did we have hot water, and were fobbed off with let the tap run for ten mins as it takes time. still cold after an hour. the staff we found were ignorant, and not interested in the guests at all. only when allowing a young child to run up a
extensive bar bills and not informing the parents. there are no showers for guests to use once they have vacated there rooms on departure day, so if you have a flight early morning as we did just try and stay clean. oh, and 1 other point when it rains the apartments leak so be careful where you sleep. and the horrible iguana in a tank on the bar should be set free, if it where kept in those conditions in england the owners would be locked up. mind you at least its room is clean.
ps. also you have to provide your own toilet roll a first for us, and buy pans and knives as there arent enough supplied.
No we wont be going back again EVER

hi. i came back from the marianna's apartments after 2weeks yesturday and it was very nice apartments, and the people marianna, spyros n stefan are great and very friendly! and sidari town was a good town even though its a good 20minute walk away from the marianna but its easy enough 2 get a taxi. i miss every1 already and wish i was still there me and my family had a great holiday! and james if u read this my email is firstname.lastname@example.org just in case i wrote it down wrong lmao. ur a great friend and ill speak 2 u when u get back.
I stayed at the mariana with three of my friends last june. we though it was terrible but we got used to it. its like the hotel is just thrown on the side of the main road. and its about a 15 minute walk to town, and at nights rather than taking a torch...just get a cab and go home because its way tooo dark to walk, not safe.

Hi we have booked to stay at the marianna apartments on the 25/07/05 although most of the reviews we've seen say that the apartments are away from the centre and as we've no map was wondering if anyone could tell us where they are or near? If they are near the Canal or the other side of the resort etc.... and how far to the beach etc.
HI TO EVERYONE WE MET AT MARIANAS IN AUG 04. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW WE HAD A BABY GIRL MADELEINE. SHE IS VERY WELL. LUCY AND ALICE ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT WHAT A GREAT TIME THEY HAD. HOPE YOU ARE ALL WELL!
Hi, I'm staying at the Mariana Appartments on the 27th of June with my
boyfriend. and i was just wondering what kind of activities there were
for young ppl like us to do in and around Sidari? Also, how far
away is Aqualand???
I repped for olympic holidays summer 2003 and this accomodation is fantastic.
Pool/bar area and rooms are all spotless and health and saftey checks are made constantly to make sure everything is up to scratch.
Mariana is a little further out than the others, but its only a short walk into town roughly 15mins best to get a taxi back in the dark as the roads are a little dodgy up there.
Sad to hear about cotas, he really was lovely done his best to make sure everyone was happy all the time. :+( ....
Despite the fact that the location for the Marianna apartments is unrefutably good as it is away from town, but within walking distance.
I feel I must make potential visitors aware of the following.
None of the apartments are damp coursed & our block (The new one at the bottom)smelled very musty & damp.Other visitors staying at the block near the swimming pool said the same. This is not good news to an asthmatic. They were kept clean no doubt about that but what is the point when the building work is substandard?
It was obvious that our block had recently been added as the electrics were not complete,& the toilet was not properly connected.
This resulted in the bathroom floor being permanently flooded.
Despite several requests lodged with the Olympic Rep & to Spiros for this to be attended to nothing was done, so using the bathroom was an extreme hazard as the tiled floor was extremely slippery.
The last day of our holiday in sidari was ruined when we were advised that although we had paid for seven nights we had to move out of the room after only staying six, although spiros said we could keep the room until 6pm if we paid an extra 20 euros!
We packed & left immediately. We shall most certainly visit Sidari again but never the Marianna apartments.
spent two fantastic weeks at mariana's apartments. mariana and her two son's,stefan and spiros were very welcoming and hospitible towards everyone. my daughter enjoyed herself spending time in the swimming pool and playing pool and meeting other families. I would like to hello to: Barry, Bev, Lucy and Alice hope you are all well. Hope everything is going allright with the pregnancy Bev, take care. Another hello to Dawn,Duncan and Zoe hope you are keeping well hope to see you soon! Hilary and Emily.x
Have just booked 2 bedroom apartment at Mariana for next Summer.
Can anyone tell me if any of the apartments are split over 2 floors (previous review mentioned a spiral staircase)?
Any other information about accommodation would be appreciated.
Spent two fantastic weeks in the Mariana appts. We were a bit concerned about the kids abroad but Lucy and Alice loved it and had plenty to do. Mariana and her two sons made us feel very welcome and always kept us entertained, Especially the Greek dancing! It is not a big resort so everybody gets to know each other and we met some good friends. Hello Colin, Tracy, Louis, Megan, Gary, Sharon, Bradley, Ross, Alan, Karen, Hilary, Emily and everyone else who was there. I think all of us would sgree that our holiday at Mariana was brilliant!
Spent 2 weeks at the Mariana Apartments (16/07/2003 - 31/07/2004) it was fantastic, Mariana (the owner) made us feel very welcome, as did her two sons Spiros and Stephan. I would definatley go back here and recommend it to any one. A great place for families as well as couples and young people! Great holiday, Excellant accomodation!
We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Mariana and i have to say it was gorgeous. Mariana, Spiros and Stefanos made us all feel so welcome and the free drinks are always a bonus. The barbecue is definately worth staying in for even if the greek dancing is a bit lacklustre! I would definately recommend this place to anyone who asked. Well worth a visit!
Just Recently got back from Sidari. Had a fantastic time went with mum & dad. Am 22 and it was the best holiday ever. Marianna was loverly as was soula the cleaner & her 2 daughters although I fell in love with spiros the eldest son he was so nice and very good looking. Its quite a walk from the centre but spiros dos take you down at 7pm & picks you back up at 10pm.
If you dont want to go out every night as we was there for 2 weeks theY put on a BBQ on a sunday & Thursday for 7 euros is well worth it. If anyone is going soon give my love to spiros. Thanks Julia
We are going to Mariana Apartments in August .
Has anyone any digital photos of the area.
Read some good comments thanks to all !!!!!!!!!!!!!
